the room next door - Dominic Cummings

SAY THEIR NAME (a UK thread)
I think a lot of British ppl say ‘the UK isn’t as bad as the US’ because black history is not taught in schools. The British national curriculum is so white washed and pro British history, it fails to expose the UK’s shortcomings regarding racism
‘At least 1m people in Britain are estimated to have lost their jobs since March. Dominic Cummings is not one of them. That’s all you need to know about this week in British politics.’

Brilliant from @henrymance

  • Epidemiologist and SAGE member Professor John Edmunds says it is risky to ease lockdown at this stage as the R rate is "only just below one" leaving "not a lot of room for manoeuvre" and that England alone is still seeing 8,000 new infections a day. trib.al/7tPFxdm

  • Never forget the death of Belly Mujinga. She held a ticketing office position before being moved to concourse. Belly was high risk and had respiratory problems, known by her employer. Her life was devalued. Her right to workplace safety must be vindicated, even if posthumously.
