Ah, so now the membership of @RichmondPolice Chief Gerald Smith's "external advisory committee" is a secret. Very cool, very transparent, very legal to have anonymous friends of the police making policy recommendations in smoke-filled rooms. Protect and serve, baby!

All year, @RichmondPolice officers have consistently accused protesters of not being truly engaged in their community, but I sincerely believe that activists have done more to safeguard Richmonders this year than any RPD officer, and at greater personal risk to their safety.
