This isn’t the first time that jobs of union garment workers who make MLB uniforms have been in jeopardy. In 2017, MLB was able to step in and help broker a deal to save 600 textile jobs at the Majestic factory in PA. It was a win for everyone. mcall.com/business/manuf…

We stand in solidarity with the Derby, NY factory families who make the iconic on-field hats we put on everyday and fans wear to support their favorite team. We hope MLB can help these NY families the way they helped the uniform workers in PA. Otherwise, it’s #NewEraHatsOff

As players continue to stand together it’s important that we also continue to stand in solidarity with the union labor that has helped make our game what it is today.

This is great Sean! Way to stand up for union workers!

This guy is truly great. Read this entire thread.

Thank you, Sean!!!!!!!! Spread the word! #NewEraHatsOff

Happy you posted this. I love caps. I love @mlb and @milb caps and I know @NewEraCap made anywhere but Derby are a crapshoot when it comes to size. I am not a made in the USA guy but I am a quality for dollar guy. And @NewEraCap non-US quality is lacking.

It would be pretty wild if MLB players actually took up this cause and hashtag. Have you seen this @craigcalcaterra ?

A reminder that in terms of labor, players are far closer to the dwindling middle class than the owners.

From one union strong member to another- THANK YOU!!!

.@MLB The continued undercutting of unions should not transpire under your auspices.

As a #Nationals fan I’m truly delighted to see @whatwouldDOOdo raise this issue

I’m not a fan of his team, but I’m a fan of him.

Hey @MLB why don’t you help out the people of Derby, NY like you did for those factory workers in PA last year?

I have repeatedly spent way too much on a @Mets fitted but i'm no scab

Never thought I’d see an MLB player tweet about my hometown. Agree with Doolittle here.
