A historical marker is unveiled near 1st Ave N and Gay Street in Nashville today. On March 25, 1872, a white mob lynched David Jones, a black man, in the Public Square. On April 30, 1875 another black man, Jo Reed, was hung near the Woodland Street Bridge. @NC5
