Rest in peace, firefighters Richard Driscoll and Kevin Nolan.

200 members of the FDNY have now succumbed to WTC-related illness. They didn’t hesitate to run into danger. They stayed until the work was done.

The Senate MUST fully fund the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.

You didn’t even show up at the new addition to the memorial for those that died of 9/11 related illness or to the funeral of Detective Alvarez. You ONLY tweet about this when you need to score political points. You don’t fool me Warren!

The 1st responders who rushed to the #WorldTradeCenter #WTC on 9/11 are dying from the chemicals they were exposed to for weeks, atop the burning pile. Yesterday #SenRandPaul blocked allocation of funds for 9/11 responders.

We should add a "+" to 343 because it continues to take the lives of those heros. I don't use that word lightly. Rest easy, brothers.

I find it disgraceful & embarrassing that they are still waiting for compensation & have died not knowing if their families are going to be ok financially because of the politics of it 😡😡😡👎

finally something you said that I agree with.
I don’t often agree with the current NYC Mayor, but, there’s this:

Every First Responder deserves every bit of gratitude from this whole country ,sorry for the recent loss of firefighters Richard Driscoll and Kevin Nolan ,My condolences to their families and friends .

God bless them & their families 💙

Respect for the brave man and woman who run in to help, when everyone else were running out.

I am so outraged at these two Senators. This should NEVER have been debated, just re-up the funding for these men and women, NOW!
In reply to @NYCMayor
Does anyone have a link that can bring me to a list of all the first responders who have passed away from 9/11 related illnesses?
In reply to @NYCMayor
my heart breaks for the families. these heros are in happy in heaven.

Heartfelt sympathy to the families of Richard Driscoll & Kevin Nolan 💔💔💔
The Republican party is no more. They have destroyed themselves. Good riddance.
In reply to @NYCMayor
Why don’t they use some of the money when they fine corporations for example the $5 billion with Facebook. Where does this money go after being collected?
In reply to @NYCMayor
Thank God you were not NYC's mayor during the attacks or the rebuilding of the WTC site. You would've headed right out of town.
How many more first brave responders have to die of 9/11 illnesses, @RandPaul, before you find it necessary to reauthorize the funding for these victims? #RandPaulForgot
Just read that. 200 firefighters now passed due to post 9/11 cancers. Awful.
The fact that Rand Paul blocked this funding is inexcusable. Anyone who supports his actions need to re-evaluate their moral compass and do what’s right for these American Hero’s in their time of need.
We can pay athletes millions of dollars to hit .200 or average 5 points and come off the bench but they can’t pass a bill and help out people that actually deserve it. This world is messed up

They hate you. What makes you think they will listen to you

If these men are actually NYPD you should be ashamed of yourself, and they should be fired. Disgusting 😡 pic.twitter.com/lWJfVskuP7

They have taken the steps to do so Bozo

I don't normally agree with you Mr. Deblasio but on this one you are 100% right. Our first responders are not budget bargaining chips @RandPaul
In reply to @NYCMayor
Why is NYC unwilling to pay for it's own? Why are you trying to push this onto the rest of the country?

If you and your wife hadn’t stolen 850 million dollars maybe the city could have funded this through the pension and city health insurance plans. You are a fraud. An utter and compete fraud. Your only concern is getting a job for you and your wife after you are forced out.
In reply to @NYCMayor
Your posting the deaths of men far greater than you, yet you don’t attend the funerals. Please attend the funerals of these men who gave their all for NYC. That’s not asking for much. Respect the thousands of city workers who give their all to keep NYC safe.
In reply to @NYCMayor
Rest easy brave sirs. Condolecneces from the UK to the amazing city of New york and it's people.
Perhaps they would if you set the example.
Hey, @RandPaul just thought you should see this.
Probably the only intelligent and decent comment this ass has ever made.
But yet @RandPaul you are ALL OF SUDDEN self-righteous and not letting this funding more forward.
In reply to @RandPaul
Oh god, just do your job, stop the presidential campaign ego trip & fire that damn cop 🙄#DeBlasiosNY
Shame on you @RandPaul and @SenateGOP and @GOP. Enjoy your golf game, Rand.
Well where and how will men and women in uniform be reimbursed for their service, without any funds left. How about you spend money towards them and fighting for it rather then shifting focus to your presidential candidacy.
Thank you firefighters and all the others who never thought twice about rushing down to help on 9/11. I am so ashamed of those in this country who are now nickel and diming every penny spent! Just do the right thing!
