Today marks 56 years since the murder of four young girls at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

In remembrance of Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, Cynthia Wesley and Addie Mae Collins these let us reflect on the words of Dr. King鈥檚 eulogy for the girls

The legal system was slow to provide justice.Though Birmingham鈥檚 white supremacists were immediately suspected in the bombing, repeated calls for the perpetrators to be brought to justice went unanswered for more than a decade. history.com/topics/1960s/b鈥

I never actually listened to those words before; they are so accurate, powerful and descriptive. What makes this even more stunning to me is that this sermon is so accurately applicable to the our country today. The redemptive part of the sermon is hopeful.
