This is the clearest explanation of #ToxicFandom I’ve ever heard. Every industry professional should give this a listen.

Wow.
This is incredibly well put.

Clear and thoughtful explanation on what #ToxicFandom is and why it’s misleading and harmful.

Holy cow. Great distillation of a few core drivers there.

If you are a fan of #bb21 on Twitter you should watch this and re-examine your life...

he sounds exactly like when you tell me stuff but without all the personal putdowns. eerie.

AS is an all-time fav and this is so applicable to any fandom - wrestling, comics, lit, film, anything - at any point in history, but especially now

Well articulated, right there.

I knew Al Snow is an instructor, but it never occurred to me he's secretly been incredibly erudite this entire time, which is on me. No reason a man can't wave a mannequin head around for a living and also hold strong epistemic views on the DIKW hierarchy

I feel like this could easily be applied to all variety of fandoms.

Man, Al Snow hits it on the head.

You could translate it to any fandom or clique and it would be true.

Applies across all art forms!

Haven’t seen @TheRealAlSnow in ages. At least since before my friend Dusty moved out of Louisville. But he’s got a very valid point with this.

Everyone needs to watch this.

Very enlightening

This is an interesting piece.

Heh, this also applies to #StarWars and #GameOfTheWeek, how surprising #ToxicFandom

Probably the best explanation regarding toxicity in any medium, whether it be art, video games or otherwise.
