EVA-58: Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson absolutely nails it on NASA TV:

"I think the milestone is hopefully this will now be considered normal..not to overshadow women have been doing spacewalks for 35 years. I think many of us are looking forward to this just being normal."

Tracy calls it like it is on behalf of all #WomenInSTEM

Tracy speaks for me and many others who believe firsts become truly relevant and meaningful when they lead two many more of the same and it becomes normal. GO 8-BALLS!

You know, just an observation, but one way to do that would be to just have the spacewalk and not mention that it was women.

Amen. Hate the way these two fine astronauts are being used to virtue-signal. Because that's what NASA is doing right now.

This. I mean, it's great that this day came. But anyone who can't see how NASA is using these two fine astronauts to virtue-signal is either willfully blind, or willfully forgetting all the fine work done by female astronauts (and cosmonauts) in the past.

Truth and justice. Just treat me equally based on my competence. Who cares what鈥檚 between the legs if what we鈥檙e doing doesn鈥檛 need to look there?
