The mayor's job is not to cut grass, ride shotgun on raids on the poor, or to fix stuff but to manage and oversee ALL city departments on behalf of ALL its residents making sure they deliver to ALL areas and to budget fairly. You never got that.

There's an element of @Our_DA that really doesn't care about the realities of SA. Typified for me by our local Cllr who observed Mandela Day with a drive to buy dog food for a local dog shelter. That faction is on the rise. Their priorities are going to render @Our_DA irrelevant.
