Healthy eating is crucial for people with #diabetes. 馃敼If your blood sugar is well controlled, you don鈥檛 need additional snacks when doing regular exercise. 馃敼If you plan to do more intense exercise than usual, eat a snack beforehand. 馃敼Choose from dairy, fruits and grains.
Does examining your feet & toes every day actually PREVENT diabetic foot complications @who ???

Reduced blood flow and nerve damage in the feet can lead to a loss of feeling. Any cut/blister, or stone in your shoe is therefore not noticed because it hasn't been felt. This is why you must get into the habit of physically checking - see what you can't feel.#WorldDiabetesDay

@deandelray saw this and thought of your advocacy and the support you got from others facing a similar struggle. Stay public on this- it saves so many people a ton of fear and pain. Feeling isolated with a diagnosis is brutal!
