1-1988 Seoul Olympics. 2-Korean postage stamp issued in 1990. 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean Anglican Church. reference→우표로 그려낸 한국현대사 And SAMSUNG. South Korea allows this when selling goods in its own country. Selfish racist. pic.twitter.com/d07vxF0fkr

I want you all to know the fact that S.Korea officially had no problem with #JapaneseRisingSun flags in Pacific Reach exercise that was carried out on Nov 4th, 2019. I don't think anything that's been no problem to anyone should be banned at the Olympics🐰 gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id… pic.twitter.com/fHU1xjgG1n

The uproar over "Rising Sun Flag" began in 2011 when Ki Sung-yueng lied because of his discriminatory conduct, and today it is simply a hoax used by Jo Gyeong-deok and others to further exaggerate and defame Japan. Hate against Japan, which is an outrageous lie and vicious. pic.twitter.com/SpVx2ChgdY

In reply to @BBCWorld
1/ We believe British people well understand the difference in the definition/meaning between "Colonization" and "Annexation". Japan's Annexation of the Korean Peninsula (in 1910) was the time when Japan had invested JPY 63 trillion / US$ 571,073,295,200 (today's value)....

In reply to @BBCWorld
1/ In Korea those days, Korean people were praising the Rising Sun Flag as the symbol to achieve independence of the Korean Peninsula from China(Qing) through the war that the Imperial Japanese Army defeated the Qing force/troops. The attached photo shows 4,300 representatives.. pic.twitter.com/eh0uq4rje6

Hello again BBC. Did u know Korean had rights of electoral eligibility even during the annexation period, there're many Korean politicians & also police officers back then. This is one of footage in Korea 1931. U can see how peaceful, no rape no slaughter twitter.com/yukin_done/sta…

More biased anti-Japan propaganda from BBC. Almost everyone quoted in the article is against RSF. Also, they fail to mention some important points. For nearly 70 years after WW2, this flag has not been an issue. Only recently did this become important to Koreans

Some Koreans complain that our manji 【卍】because it "looks like (for Koreans)" Nazi Ha*en*reuz sw*stika. Look at the Korean temple in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, JAPAN...(see link) You can see 卍 there in the temple. twitter.com/Tomo20309138/s…

In reply to @BBCWorld
it looks like a beautiful flag. I think, it's a different style. this flag should not be banned.

In reply to @BBCWorld
How long are they going to do like this? When will it end? When we Japanese decide not to use our flag? No.They would make up another topic they could blame Japan. It will never end whatever we do, because they brain wash themselves to hate Japan. pic.twitter.com/FP1Q3C5RaK

In reply to @BBCWorld
You must understand when and why some Koreans started to get concerned of it. Until a Korean football player was criticised of his misbehaviour on the pitch in 2011, this flag has not been even focused in Korea. Now they just use that flag story as anti-Japan symbol.

Dear All Japanese Patriots.

Our hounarable Rising Sun Flag team are now posting a lot of complaints (in English) against BBC false fake propaganda.

Here you go..

Again, BBC's biased article on Japan based on Korean lies. Rising Sun is a cultural symbol of Japan from mythology that has been used to pray for luck and victory long before military use. Koreans used it too before the 2011 soccer match with Japan. Now they threaten celebs and pic.twitter.com/4i8YhiJJzF

1/ BBC, you wrote about comfort women. A Japanese jounalist found out official documents in the United States that prove South Korea's war crime during Vietnam War. He revealed thaat South Korea established brothels at the battlefront of the Saigon in order to comfort....

In reply to @BBCWorld
A Korean major company also used the design. This is an evidence it’s no more than opportunism taking advantage of everything for political purpose. In fact we’ve never seen such a complaint until a Korean soccer player attributed his discriminatory behavior to the flag in 2011. pic.twitter.com/Ntk8qosYG3

Our Rising Sun Team and Patriots are posting a massive amount of complaints against fake BBC's malicious propaganda. Of course, in English. twitter.com/BBCWorld/statu…

Did Japan force Korean to work? Biased and one-sided BBC regards only the opinions from the South as accurate. At that time, Korean was almost first-class citizens and were eligible to vote and to run for office. According to "NewKorea "written by Alleyne Ireland in 1926 pic.twitter.com/RogR6SYhCZ

They have a flag -- and that's not it. This is: 🇯🇵

In reply to @BBCWorld
As you can see, this is also the rising sun flag...😑 As Japanese government told that it is used by celebrations, this flag uses for events as well...😑 #BBC is just a propaganda media.

In reply to @BBCWorld
The rising sun flag has an auspicious meaning in Japan. South Korea began to see the Rising Sun flag as a problem because soccer players who "racially discriminated against" the Japanese during the 2011 Soccer World Cup touched on the Rising Sun Flag and began to have problems.

In reply to @BBCWorld
should know that this protest is nothing but a new propaganda made by South Koreans. In fact, South Korea had no problem with participating in Pacific Reach exercise that was carried out November 4th 2019, in company with Japan hoisting the flag.

Raise that flag
Just keep it in Japan this time, it looks great in Tokyo. Not so great in Singapore. pic.twitter.com/ekP7otwbPB

In reply to @BBCWorld
The more Korean claims that the rising sun flag is bad, the more it brings me back to the question, "Then, why didn't you complain about such an 'awful' flag for more than 50 years? Or why did you use similar looking logos? " 🧐🤔🤔🤔

In reply to @BBCWorld
This is informational war which South Korea started as anti-Japan campaign in 2011. Being pro-North Korea and extreme leftists, they just fabricated the history regarding Japan Navy's flag. @AndreasIllmer is literally helping the propaganda spread via BBC on purpose.

In reply to @BBCWorld
The Japanese rule over Korea is far better than British rule over India. 日本による朝鮮支配の方がイギリスによるインド支配よりまし。 I certainly not advocate this, but since you bring this up as an issue, Why not British apologize and ban the Union Jack?🇬🇧

Most people in 🇯🇵 aren’t interested in flying this flag.

I wonder if everyone knows why it’s controversial b/c of ➡️ What Japanese history lessons leave out bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-…

In reply to @BBCWorld
Koreans started claiming the flag after year of 2011. In fact, Japanese naval ships called at South Korean ports with the flag in 1990s, nevertheless, they did not mention anything. Consequently, Koreans just wanted anything to criticize Japan.

In reply to @BBCWorld
biased article based on factual error

In reply to @BBCWorld
Korea is an anti-Japanese nation and creates a new propaganda. The Rising Sun Flag propaganda was created in 2011. This is like a new Lenin statue. At the 2002 FIFA World Cup, both Japanese and Korean citizens celebrated at The Rising Sun Flag. pic.twitter.com/BDSNIuEwyD

In reply to @BBCWorld
Every flag ever made can be seen as offensive to someone, somewhere in the world to one degree or another, and given that the flag pre-dates the atrocities committed under it, i don't personally find it offensive. However, in respect to the games... (1/2)

In reply to @BBCWorld
the design of the Rising Sun Flag is seen in numerous scenes in daily life of Japan, such as in fishermen’s banners hoisted to signify large catch of fish, flags to celebrate childbirth, and in flags for seasonal festivities.

In reply to @BBCWorld
Koreans should quit their bullshit before everyone realizes Koreans are full of shit when it comes to hating on Japan. Koreans had no problem with the Rising Sun Flag and were using it themselves until they started spreading anti-Japanese propaganda in 2012. pic.twitter.com/Aldvgd60DJ

In reply to @BBCWorld
It was impossible "For some" to see any atrocities, because they were a part of Japan until 1945, with 800,000 of them volunteered to join the Japanese military.

In reply to @BBCWorld
It is a pity that he is deceived by South Korean provaganda. The beginning of the event was a racial discrimination against Japanese by a Korean soccer player. South Korea used the flag to cheat it. It was 2012. Before that, there was no problem in Korea. pic.twitter.com/ChxHbzv6WU

In reply to @BBCWorld
This is a relatively new propaganda. No such criticism was discovered before 2011. Made after a monkey imitated by one soccer player in 2011. the monkey's imitation was accused of being discriminatory. He quickly creates the story of the Rising Sun flag and gets out of trouble.

旭日旗騒動の火元ですか( ´_ゝ`)

Nanjing massacre is propaganda of CCP but this article says 300,000 ppl were killed by Japanese troops. Let's imagine. A-bomb killed 140,000 in Hiroshima and 70,000 in Nagasaki. The most horrible weapon could kill only 220,000. BTW,1995 Kobe Earthquake killed 6,000 and ...

The Rising Sun Flag design is used by the US Army in Japan with pride. It's very rude to the US military working overseas. pic.twitter.com/jAtp6dOqCg

In reply to @BBCWorld
Then S.Korean flag must also be banned. Consider the "Lai Daihan" issue, the mixed Vietnamese people born for rape by Korean soldiers during the Vietnam War. Korea is even trying to hide the brutal war crime in its history. Selfish anti-Jpn propaganda shouldn't be justified.

In reply to @BBCWorld
I thought I shared this to you already...😑 Where's 'Japanese troops'?

Koreans : "The Rising Sun Flag is like a Nazi symbol." If Koreans want to defame Japan, at least they should do it right so people wouldn't think Koreans are full of shit when it comes to hating on Japan. pic.twitter.com/lg6EDjHDaz

I think the Olympics should be banned. They have outlived their usefulness. They create economic chaos and are as crooked as a dog's hind-leg. Thanks for listening. 😎

South korean just won't leave Japanese alone. 😥😥😥

In reply to @BBCWorld
This issue shouldn't even be an issue. The rising sun flag is just a flag same as other military flags. This issue was instigated by a south Korean soccer player in 2011 to cover up one of his racist team mates. May as well ban all military flags if you're going to ban the rsf.

Only Korean's are against to this flag, and also they only start complaining since 2011. Before 2011, Korean ppl were using this design too. If I ask them about it, they just kept their mouth shut and just get angry. They need to leaen anger management. lol

Japan will not ignore South Korea's lies as it has in the past. That was the wrong response. Some people in the world believe lies. The complaints of scammers may be harsh, but Japan has an obligation to inform the world of the facts in order to be judged correctly.

In reply to @BBCWorld
No it should not be banned

JPN bashing's been a Korea's national project. Bashing RS flag is one of those newly came up in 2012. They have been persistently falsely accusing JPN to withdraw more money from Japan. Japan would never surrender to their persistence again. They're busy to hinder the Olympics

In reply to @BBCWorld
This is Japan's national flag. The Japanese military did many horrible things during WWII, but their flag should not be held as a symbol of their deeds back then, unlike the Nazi flag. Now that flag is wholeheartedly a symbol of hatred and racism.
