This is how one Russian paper today interprets Vladimir Putin’s proposal to change the Constitution: “In Russia there will be a tsar. And everyone knows his name.” “Putin isn’t ready to leave power. The transition will be from Putin to Putin.” #ReadingRussia

Putin maniobrando para ser el presidente vitalicio de Rusia... cuando menos.
So basically everyone in Russia understands exactly what’s going on and mostly they seem to be okay with it. 🤷‍♂️
W Rosji bedzie ....car . Wszystcy znają jego nazwisko ...Putin . A proponowane przez Putina zmiany maja zagwarantować przekazanie władzy przez Putina Putinowi .
Mielenkiintoisia analyysejä venäläisissä lehdissä..
Sad, and yet about as surprising as a victimhood tweet from Donny
This is the path Trump is taking us down in plain view of the American public.

Similar case in Turkey, a new Ottoman Sultan, even worse as he is not even from a Turkish bloodline, or someone who puts the interests of TR first.
Przyznam szczerze, ze jako korespondent nie znosiłam przeglądów prasy, robionych stojąc na ulicy, ale za te forme - ogromny szacun #ZrozumiecRosje
A Russian paper’s take on Putin’s proposed constitutional changes:
Z prasy: Zmiany w rosyjskiej konstytucji pozwolą na to, że Putin przekaże władzę Putinowi.

In Ukraine in 2004 the parliament chanfed the constitution to reduce the president's power. Then wgen Yanukovich won in 2010 they charged it back.

I guess the democratic British can lecture the Russian’s and their Tsar by having an unelected Queen, unelected head of government and largest unelected chamber (lords) in the world. Those democratic values must be given to the Russian people

Quickly planned and quickly assembled only because he surrounds himself with allies..a huge wall of allies. The WH stable genius is trying to copy Putin’s business model and he is half way there..
What a coincidence we in the US are also implementing some constitutional changes, albeit a different mechanism right @senatemajldr @RandPaul?
That's what he is doing to corrupt power, Trump did Ukraine and now Johnson wants to stymie the Law adjudicators of our land because they didn't agree with him "Prorogation"; just change the rules that's democracy for you!
20 more years of putin! Dictatorship and kletopcracy is in!
Putin is a global tyrant who is growing power and consolidating power. There is no other more serious threat than Putin. And he’s already infiltrated us, distorted reality in America, and fixed our elections. We are nowhere near dealing with him.
