Universal health coverage is not a radical idea. Eliminating all private insurance is. No industrialized country has gone that far. This goes further than what is acceptable in Denmark the country. How’s that going to fly in Denmark, South Carolina? #DemDebate

Did you get this new talking point from your health insurance donors?

Mayo Pete shows his ignorance again.

Japan has no private healthcare insurance, there’s only government single payer medical insurance.

Life insurance and disability insurance are sold here, but private medical insurance has been eliminated.

#DemDebate2020

Six in ten Democratic voters in IA, NH, and NV said they support replacing private health insurance with a single government plan - including a good chunk of Pete voters in all 3 states

Pete. You’re not polling high enough with Black voters in SC to even be listed here. SC voters are not your fans. pic.twitter.com/mfTg3acVlr

Half of Denmark, South Carolina lives below the poverty line

As someone from SC. I can promise you in Denmark where the poverty rate is 40%. The ntl rate is 13%. It’s predominately blk. Universal Health Covg would literally save lives and money. Fuck you Pete! You already got ran out of a protest in SC once. We don’t fw you

Over 500,000 South Carolinians do not have health insurance.

38% of residents in Denmark, SC are at or below the poverty line.

Pete Buttigieg's plan *mandates* insurance coverage and will *impose $7,000 fine* on those with out it.

How's that going to play in Denmark, SC?

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Why are you so hell bent on DEFENDING INSURANCE COMPANY PROFITS?!?!??!? You care more about that than the health and well being of US.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Denmark has supplemental for *uncovered* services. #MedicareForAll expands coverage to include vision, dental, mental, hearing, and long term care, which will make supplemental largely redundant unless you want ass implants #BernieBeatsTrump

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Where does the M4A plan ban supplemental insurance?

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
I pay over 13% of my income a year in health insurance premiums for a plan that could still leave me bankrupt if I get sick or injured. Nobody loves their insurance.

It would fly better than you basically criticizing the civil rights movement. pic.twitter.com/NvjErFn17k

Lived in Denmark. Good job at being wrong.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Bernie's plan does allow for private insurance for procedures that are not covered. Read it before you open your big mouth.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Canada has a single payer plan, and the only role for private insurance is supplemental, JUST LIKE BERNIES PLAN. You think you can just lie to the American people, you rat?

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Did you get healthcare from the CIA?

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
I just want to be able to afford to see my doctor and take my kids to the dentist!

You’re not proposing a universal healthcare system with private insurance existing.

You’re proposing a two tiered healthcare system with public option buy in and massive fines for those that can’t afford insurance.

Hey pete. Do u um check exit polling. Americans want #MedicareForAll no more private insurance pic.twitter.com/mzrIqF7CTu

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Eliminating private insurance is a good idea though

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Private insurance is a scam and you are bought and paid for by its billionaire beneficiaries.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Your plan would add a public program on top of a massively corrupt and bloated private health insurance system. We already spend twice as much per capita as any other nation on healthcare. Pete's plan would make that worse.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
You're performance was absolute garbage

Did you get this new talking point lie from your wine cave health insurance donors?

The Yale study supports the idea that Medicare for All would be cheaper. Bernie’s plan is more expansive than Denmark’s, and we could pay employees for 2 years to transition into new jobs

Pete Buttigieg's healthcare plan would cost America more than Bernie's plan.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
You don’t care if 60,000 people a year die from no healthcare. You work for the profit merchants and death brokers.

your dad spent his life translating Gramsci to English just so you could grow up and say shit like this

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Pretty well. People hate private insurance.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
No, Peter. Eliminating all private insurance is NOT radical. Not that Bernie wants to eliminate ALL of it, but never mind that for now. We do not need for-profit insurance to be involved in our everyday health care. It just muddles everything. #SinglePayer #MedicareForAll

Every country who now has a decades long, well established M4A-type program, started without private sector. You really are bad at everything.

Don't elect someone who's this comfortable with misrepresenting something as important of your health and welfare. Buttigieg is trying to make people think that insurance elsewhere isn't supplemental, pure and simple. He's making it seem like a choice like the one he's proposed.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Aren’t you on stage right now?

So we have to wait for Denmark now? We dont want to lead the world now do we?

I've seen what good insurance companies have done. They can rot. They no longer deserve to exist. Their greed is not more important than peoples lives.

ELIMINATING PRIVATE INSURANCE NEEDS TO HAPPEN

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Insurance is a denial of care PERIOD! Insurance is NOT healthcare it is a profit driven unnecessary middleman.

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
Private insurance companies must be removed from healthcare!

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
The only thing private insurance does is raise the cost of healthcare.

What country of 350 million people enacted single payer in 4 years? It’s gonna take a decade or two in the courts. Private option at the beginning while we iron out the kinks!

I love my health care provider. The insurance not so much. My doctors help me get better my insurance randomly decides NOT to pay a 10k bill causing no end of stress. The idea that I can be charged for something like that without even knowing the cost up front is RADICAL.

not to serious politics post but i absolutely love how the only thing petely can say against m4a is that its "too radical" that means jack shit

"Denmark the country," just in case any of you fellows think of Denmark, South Carolina. when you try to think of a denmark

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
#RacistPete #MayorCheat damn, you don't even try to pretend anymore. you're really out of your league with this whole presidential thing.

this mfer said "Denmark the country"

There was no such thing as national private insurance prior to a massive lobbying initiative in the 1970s which culminated in Richard Nixon signing into law the HMO Act of 1973. Stop pretending healthcare profiteering is the way it always was.

You didn't used to say this. I shared an earlier tweet of yours where you 100% stood for medicare for all. What changed, Pete? Oh, right, you've taken over a hundred grand from insurance companies. #NeverPete #WineCavePete

No, Pete. Eliminating all private insurance is NOT radical. You’re lying about #M4A to preserve the for-profit insurance industry. We see through you!
We do not need for-profit insurance to be involved in our everyday health care. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege
#M4All

In reply to @PeteButtigieg
The fundamental difference between your rip-off plan (It's named after M4A but bastardizes it) and Bernie's & most of developed worlds' is that your plan does not require universal buy in, while vast majority of others do. Universal buy-in means funding, means quality care.

Hey Rat Face. Talking over Bernie for 30 seconds then saying you hate the Civil Rights revolution of the 1960s was a really bad look. #BernieOrBust

Finally someone who acknowledges the reality of our northern European health system...its not for free. And private coverage is part of it! Thank you @PeteButtigieg

my british grandfather might be alive right now if his *private* oncologist didn’t forget to tell him his cancer had spread, lose his paperwork, + dump him because his insurance didn’t cover his cancer type.

biggest regret? not using the NHS earlier

THIS is not acceptable #M4A

Pete dropped the mike so hard Liz couldn't hear the next question. #TeamPete #DemDebate
