thank god we have some smart people in Congress like @HawleyMO who understand the need to end our dependence on China - a hostile authoritarian regime

see you @NextRevFNC soon Senator!

Also other industries, it may take a year or more for China to recover from #CoronavirusOutbreak pic.twitter.com/QTLkMSTfRL

In reply to @RepWalorski
Agreed, Rep Walorski. American should protect themselves when China remains uncooperative amid this coronavirus outbreak twitter.com/HawleyMO/statu…

Over reliance on the production lines in China is always a problem. With the outbreak of #WuhanCoronavirus , the problem is finally magnified so that the world can see and realise. Time to bring back the production lines to prevent further perils. #AnywherebutChina is crucial. pic.twitter.com/NqSByK5JLH

Wise move because US should never put all the eggs in a single basket #BoycottChina #AnywherebutChina pic.twitter.com/OWZEDlO6Ll

In reply to @HawleyMO
Nice move Sir! Don’t rely on China!

For years, production was outsourced to #China to save costs and to maximize shareholder value, and CEO's bonuses. And now suddenly, it's about "protecting our xyz from China"? Is this some kind of collective capitalist amnesia?

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you Sen Hawley. Communist China has already bought #WuhanCoronavirusOutbreak around the world and what the world needs now is #AnywherebutChina pic.twitter.com/l2mgXBwcmp

In reply to @HawleyMO
A good move for Americans as #CCP is not trustworthy & can’t be reliable in any circumstances! By concealing the truths & manipulation of media, #CCP can’t shirk their RESP for global #WuhanCoronavirusOutbreak! Not to mention the #HumanitarianCrisis in #Xinjiang & #HongKong! pic.twitter.com/ZNASIlySPJ

In reply to @HawleyMO
It's a wise decision as it better secures the supply of medical resources to the US and the product quality can be guaranteed. #coronavirus #BoycottChina #AnywherebutChina pic.twitter.com/fpTGoblgno

参议员乔什·霍利:
我正在引入立法,以在 #冠状病毒 #Coronavirus 爆发期间保护我们的医疗供应链和关键药物,并将其从中国 #China 带回来

In reply to @HawleyMO
A very wise choice, Senator The coronavirus outbreak has already brought the Chinese industrial to a grinding halt No essential products should be relied upon a single location Not to mention China is fully controlling the production of American medicines

In reply to @HawleyMO
I'm with you on this. We're finally energy independent, why aren't we medically independent? We should be making our own Latex Gloves, IV bags, medicine, all of it. Bring it home!

Made in China may indeed mean hijacked by China 😢

In reply to @HawleyMO
Surrendering critical materials to production in China which is controlled by #CCP is an oversight by previous administration & legislature. Wrong assumption that #CCP is not an adversary, now proven otherwise. Situation has to be changed now, swift remedial actions needed.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you Josh. We should never be in that position again, where we would have to globally rely on a supply chain for our medical supplies! Should have been doing it already, just to lower prescription costs

In reply to @HawleyMO
The #CCP govt forced you to do so. Fair trade is good, but over-reliance on 1 supplier isn't. US merchandisers & makers should relocate their plants. Quality & reliability matter. #WuhanCoronavirus #Fairtrade

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you! CCP does not worth our trust. At least US should keep the supplies without worrying bout other countries.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Well said, Senator Hawley.

I just don't get how politicians think that you magically GROW a supply chain overnight that has shrunk gradually over the past decades. It doesn't work like that.

In reply to @HawleyMO
It’s a wise move! The world should take back control of all essential supplies, shouldn’t risk on trusting China. #anythingbutchina #WednesdayWisdom

Diversified production of medicines makes sense. It's risky to rely on only one country for these products. I'm curious to see what this legislation says though. We need to be smart about how we proceed here.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Sounds like exactly what Schiff said we need to do yesterday. You copying him or what?

In reply to @HawleyMO
China should not be the source of all of our medicine. Who ever thought THAT was going to work out?

In reply to @HawleyMO
The virus is here and it will spread. Our medical supply lines are international. The virus is international. Your job now is to prevent panic, not fearmongering against the Chinese or any other affected nation because we are all in the same boat.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Very good. Never rely on a totalitarian regime.

In reply to @HawleyMO
It is scary to think of how much of our economy was out sourced to China over the past 40 years. @realDonaldTrump was so right.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Agree this is the first order of business. However, this should be a wake up call for all of our Supply Chain Management for critical items / military-defense. Tighten up on IP theft and classified information.

In reply to @HawleyMO
I'm sorry Senator, but the President of the United States told me it is spelled caronavirus. Also, it doesn't need a hashtag. Stop it.

Now make the testing and medication affordable.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Depending on China for anything is ridiculous how did we get to this point.

In reply to @HawleyMO
That's great,ty.(But also, how on Earth would any such legislation be ready in time? Also, if we had that infrastructure, we wouldn't have outsourced it.) But, wait, *what*!? You're guy Trump, who you fully support, just said it's all media hype. *Who should we believe?* 🤔🤔🤔

In reply to @HawleyMO
Do tell us when any of the legislation you have proposed rates more than a 19% prognosis of passage. Most of your legislative proposals rate 2-3% prognosis of passage. govtrack.us/congress/bills…

In reply to @HawleyMO
Please bring them back from China #ThursdayThought

In reply to @HawleyMO
While you prance before the cameras touting leg that will pass when hell freezes over, Syrian refugee children abandoned by you and Trump freeze to death. Thinking about 100K MO children unprotected from virus by Medicaid who could wipe us all out. Thx. nytimes.com/2020/02/26/wor…

In reply to @HawleyMO
Once again, #WuhanCoronavirusOutbreak bring the insight to foreign corporate, do not put all investment on china

In reply to @HawleyMO
Perhaps you should have thought of this earlier, before Trump cut funding for the CDC and emergency response team? But hey, you’re still fighting for freedom in Hong Kong, right?

In reply to @HawleyMO
Definitely need to bring back, don’t let China control your country. pic.twitter.com/j4VIGIylxn

In reply to @HawleyMO
Feel so safe since our lying, inapt President is our leader. He has dismantled many of the organizations that could fight a a pandemic. #wegetwhatwevotefor

In reply to @HawleyMO
well done Senator Hawley, don't let China control everything!

In reply to @HawleyMO
You’ve been saying you will be introducing new legislation for days now, this tweet w/ tv sound bite is only more announcement, NOTHING more. No substance, just some hype to gin up your gullible base for undeserved approval. So far you’re all sizzle and no steak.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Joshie, you should personally go to China and solve it all. Please do. It would be the very first positive thing you’ve actually done.

In reply to @HawleyMO
You are making the right decision. China is impossible to restart its production soon. Even the Beijing is still under lockdown. The migrant workers listened to CCP and went back to the factories, but are locked outside. The CCP is incapable of governing China. #TakeDownCCP pic.twitter.com/qo6qT0oo4X

So you're saying you don't trust Trump's assessment that the April heat will kill the virus?

In reply to @HawleyMO

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you for all you have done for our country!!!

In reply to @HawleyMO
Yeah, good Josh. How many test kits for #Coronaviruus are the in Missouri? The answer is NONE. If you have an outbreak, how will you know? Get in the game before people start dying.

It's not so much the virus itself it's how fast it can spread that will make it impossible for Hospitals to treat patients. If people in the cities aren't fed & not getting medications with how divided our nation already is it, won't take long before things get out of control.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Dear Senator Please protect North America. We cannot believe in CCP. They have nothing but a pack of lie. We cannot trust they to be a part of our supply chain.

We need to end our reliance on a communist country for critical supplies and medication. They think they're saving money by outsourcing the production. How's that working out now? #coronavirususa #coronavirus

🙏🙏🙏💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

In reply to @HawleyMO
american made only ... can't trust the chicoms ... "I’m introducing legislation to protect our medical supply chains & critical drugs during the #CoronavirusOutbreak and bring them back from #China"

In reply to @HawleyMO
To glad you are a Senator good guy.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Not just "during" but for good!

In reply to @HawleyMO
Agree. Dun rely on china. It gives it opportunity to stab your back in times like these.

In reply to @HawleyMO
But you won't vote on the bill to lower drug prices.

In reply to @HawleyMO
So in other words: You’re copying @RepAdamSchiff #Schiff word for word And Defying the ignorant #POTUS who says “nothing to worry about. Its all under control.” Lesson: careful who you align with #JoshHawley - don’t sell ur integrity to further career #caronavirusoutbreak

In reply to @HawleyMO
What vaccines that are used in the US are produced in China? Can you give examples?

gonna check up on r/neoliberal

with the next election being between Trump and Sanders free trade is gonna keep taking some licks

In reply to @HawleyMO

In reply to @HawleyMO

In reply to @HawleyMO
but #IMPOTUS45 says it Caronavirus is all "fake news" and the US is in great shape...

In reply to @HawleyMO
Joshie is sooo weird

In reply to @HawleyMO
maybe we should also keep an eye on those wanting to depopulate the planet, like Bill Gates for example.

In reply to @HawleyMO

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you Senator for protecting Americans!

In reply to @HawleyMO
It’s a brilliant move to enhance medical supplies security Senator Hawley! And in times of epidemic outbreak in-house medical supplies is of strategic importance as other countries are also struggling to meet their needs.

In reply to @HawleyMO
#Opportunist #HucksterHawley How about Trump dumping the Pandemic response team??

In reply to @HawleyMO
Are you going to ask the tRump administration why it's slashed funding for the CDC? Are you going to ask the tRump administration what is the plan for preventing and combating a pandemic? Or is blaming China the only Republican plan?

In reply to @HawleyMO
China doesn't need anyone help! #CCP has done the best and everyone else in the world should learn from them, as told by #WHO. Bruce Aylward even said he wants to stay in China if he is infected. There is no reason for medics outside to take risk in CN. twitter.com/globaltimesnew…

In reply to @HawleyMO
Yes, it's time to ban export of medical masks and sanitizers, etc.

I worry the dems will have no clue how to deal with "conservative nationalism" and covid-19 panic. it's fine to mock how trump can't even spell coronavirus (very scary! very dumb!) but what are we going to do when "the plan" turns out to be this kind of thing?

Pharmaceutical pollution is horrible in both China and India.

The US, by outsourcing drug production to China, avoids pollution of their rivers and soil.

Seriously, you want to take it back? Or you trying to score political points from the crisis?

In reply to @HawleyMO
didn’t teach you anything but how to deceive Missourians, did it?

In reply to @HawleyMO
Good thing it only took a global pandemic to occur. Who could have possibly foreseen that outsourcing manufacturing of critical goods to unrestrained communist countries could ever be an issue? Let's remember the lessons from this.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Yes 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

In reply to @HawleyMO
This has been a problem for Years Shame

In reply to @HawleyMO
That would mean more jobs! Would also be nice to see research grants going to naturopathic medicine, and sound/frequency research that kill cancer and viruses. Like in Dr Rifes work until pharma took him out.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Absolutely necessary! To think that all our surgical supplies come from countries like China and Pakistan is mind blowing!!!

In reply to @HawleyMO
Did Unca Donald stop it? You can’t have it both ways Josh. Your Anti-Asian message is really wearing thin. Especially in places that rely on intelligence rather than shooting rifles at animals

In reply to @HawleyMO
We need to be making our own drugs. They are so expensive in the US and being made so cheap there. If they are going to coat a fortune, just make here! Make MO pharma production hub!

In reply to @HawleyMO
VOICE Trump Has Sabotaged America’s Coronavirus Response As it improvises its way through a public health crisis, the United States has never been less prepared for a pandemic.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Dont worry China has it under control Believe in the WHO and US should never take “racist” actions. Always believe the openness of Chinese offical figures!

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you for everything you've done for the American people.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Thank you! Time to figure out a strategy and put in place a funded action plan.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Fully supported by freedom loving people

In reply to @HawleyMO
But but...your master, Trump, says it will all be over in April Josh, so why are you bothering to do anything???

In reply to @HawleyMO
We need to stop relying on foreign countries for American welfare. We gave too much of our wealth to other countries. Bring it all back. We must be self sustainable.

In reply to @HawleyMO
Yes please and ASAP! We don’t even have the ability to make enough masks for the US people! What can we do if the outbreak is coming soon?
