Asking for help, opening up about your personal mental health is not about asking “the world” to make adjustments for you. It’s about accepting yourself, an awareness that you currently need help to emotionally get back on track & navigate in a life that’s full of consequences.

And when someone opens up to you about their mental health struggles, the constructive thing to do is to first listen with an open mind, meaning: not immediately comparing their experience to your own problems or anyone else’s.
