Glad Arsenal apologised. Glad people power overthrew the perceived power of rich individuals. Time for enforced change in the method of ownership of our clubs to prevent this kind of crap happening again.

We took bribes lmao that is the most fake apology I’ve seen

We’re going for a brand new owner instead

Change needed from top down. Fee and wage caps. Free or affordable broadcasting. Complete FIFA/UEFA revamp to get rid of the money hungry criminals who caused this.

Exactly. Can’t now carry on as if nothing has happened. A shameful episode in the Club’s history, and one that would never have happened if a single proper Arsenal fan had even a scintilla of power.

Amy, this is going to cost Arsenal hundreds of millions of £ to get out of contractually and millions more on PR campaigns. We dont need a sorry, we need #VinaiOut and #KroenkeOut now.

In reply to @amylawrence71
Hollow words Amy. Kronke was up to his eyeballs in his complicity of this sham. He and his cronies are not fit to be the custodians of our club. #KronkeOut

Yep.......after a points deduction next season and any further punishment that can be levied on them. We should never forget what they tried to do and why they did it. 💰

I wonder if REAL changes to the competitive model (and thus prevent clubs from simply buying titles like Bayern and Real and Barça and soon Man City) might provide for more sustainable worldwide football...

In reply to @amylawrence71
Apologised only to pretend they made a mistake. They knew what they were doing and would happily have carried on if other Prem clubs stayed.

People power, really? I suspect a longer game is being played here. The six clubs must have expected the reaction.

I’ve been looking a lot at Germany’s 50+1. I’d love to see a structure like that at Arsenal.

In reply to @amylawrence71
In short, it means that clubs – and, by extension, the fans - hold a majority of their own voting rights. Under German Football League [DFL] rules, football clubs will not be allowed to play in the Bundesliga if commercial investors have more than a 49 percent stake.

In reply to @amylawrence71
The ownership model is dictated by the financial model. First, football has to become sustainable and then we can find the right owners. Until then the game and our club relies on subsidies and ill-conceived commercial ventures.

In reply to @amylawrence71
Aligning clubs transfer budgets so we don’t have City buying trophies every year would help too

In reply to @amylawrence71
I'm sick of hearing the 50+1 proposal as if it's a solution. Ckubs in Germany have got into financial difficulties and they have an uncompetitive league. Is that what people really want for Arsenal?

In reply to @amylawrence71
Not sure the people would have blown this up if there weren't sanctions 'promised' by the PL/UEFA/FIFA and further interference likely from the UK Government? Maybe the Government review could still achieve your last point but I have my doubts ☹️

Sorry not sorry, more like.

In reply to @amylawrence71
Apology my arse. They have a lot of highly paid Comms people who know exactly what to say to illicit this kind of reaction. It's not genuine.

When does vinay leave....

In reply to @amylawrence71
Imagine we hadn’t been invited to join and it went ahead? We’d be blaming Kronke that we were no longer considered a super club. joining to not be left behind is a fair explanation. The real villain? governing bodies who set the rules. Remember the pay per view? EPLs just as bad.

In reply to @amylawrence71
I am glad the Super League is dead but UEFA remains as corrupt as ever.

In reply to @amylawrence71
Is Arsenal the only club to have actually apologised for this abomination?

In reply to @amylawrence71
Arsenal, and the other clubs, should explain why they signed up
