Gov. Larry Hogan: "It bothers me you have to swear fealty to the dear leader or you get kicked out of the party."

"It's sort of a circular firing squad where we're just attacking members of our own party instead of focusing on solving problems." @MeetThePress

So Hogan admitting that the GOP, a party he’s part of, is more like a cult. Did he shrug afterwards or feel compelled to act against this disintegration?

No one cares about Larry either way. He’s in trouble because he acted like a Democrat locking down his state ... not because people expect him to be loyal to Trump.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Notice he says “solve problems” instead of “oppose Biden” or “win back the majority”? We should only vote for politicians who don’t focus their lives around making an enemy of the opposition party.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
To be fair, it’s all Republicans have. No fresh ideas to solve problems just endless tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
They aren't interestedf in problem solving, only power.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
But he’s still Republican right!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Maybe he should leave the party, because he isn’t changing it

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Rethuglicans don't have SOLUTIONS to problems.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
I have deep disagreements with Hogan, but I feel he is trying to be as decent as can be compared to the rest of the Republican Party.

It should bother more, but it doesn't. They believe the gaslighting networks.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Somebody gonna tell Larry the GQP hasn’t solved a single problem in the past 45 years?

In reply to @kylegriffin1
If his words had meaning he would leave the party.

If it bothers him so much, he would quit the Republican Party and help democrats fight to save our country. He doesn’t have to agree with our political views, he has to agree we are in the fight of our lives to save our country. #MeetThePress

In reply to @kylegriffin1
They have NEVER focused on solving problems

In reply to @kylegriffin1
GOP=Fascists. Fealty to a 'dear leader' is fascism. @MeetThePress Start calling what you are seeing, what it actually is. Fascism should more than just 'bother' you, @GovLarryHogan

In reply to @kylegriffin1
If it looks like a cult, sounds like a cult and operates like a cult, its probably a CULT! pic.twitter.com/DgG6skdPiD

In reply to @kylegriffin1
I just don't understand, if there is a dear leader that want my absolutely obedience, first I would send him to hell, then I would change my profession.

gqp
a dead party walking
on their way thru dead-end streets
wondering how to get out of the dtrump
fixation addiction they have!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
It's not a circular firing squad, it's a regular firing squad. The people with the guns are pretty damned unified about who they want to shoot: those who speak out against the cult.

Translation: “Our Republican Party is a cult that has no interest in governing and nothing to offer America.”

In reply to @kylegriffin1
What? No one's been kicked out of his party. It isn't possible to kick anyone out because there's no legal mechanism to admit members in the first place. It's up to individuals to decide if they want to be members; they're the only ones with power over their membership status.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
In a nutshell. Let them destroy themselves. The decent republicans will have to pick up the pieces.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Very Nazi like.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Larry, your party is beyond fixing. Walk away or you're part of the problem.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
.@GovLarryHogan excellent for speaking up. As a leader does the actions of the GOP bother you enough to move beyond words? Will you use your elected position of leadership as a beacon with actions to uphold your oath and protect this democracy? The truth with actions speak louder

In reply to @kylegriffin1

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Dear Leader *is* the problem.

Boy he’s not kidding.

👀 Why not a blood oath? Punishment to the 7th rank?

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Y’all want to dunk on Hogan instead of accepting him as an ally against a party that has basically said it wants to stage a coup to take power. Enjoy your righteousness while America becomes an autocracy because you can’t make common cause with anyone who disagrees with you.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Since when has the GOP solved any problems that benefit the majority?

In reply to @kylegriffin1

welcome to the cult of the former guy... destroying truth & democracy every day & in every way.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
So basically they are not trying to solve the problems they created anymore, just only creating problems now. Did they forget to send him the GQP talking points of the day newsletter?

In reply to @kylegriffin1
You know where this happens? Russia.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Because the fascist-republican party is not interested in solving problems. Their goal is clearly to grab as much power and dollars as possible. It’s about personal and party gain; they don’t give a shit about helping others.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Cmon, LH. Trump a dictator and Russian asset for life. Rus Intel doesn't release you if you lose an election. So long as Trump lives the GOP is mortally compromised

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Sounds lake @GovLarryHogan is more a follower than a leader. Supposedly, there are other R's that think like he does. None of them have the guts to connect with each other to present a united front.

Problem solving is not what one expects of Republicans

In reply to @kylegriffin1
See, this is what the Trumplicans really fear and why they are working so hard to whiten their states. brookings.edu/blog/the-avenu…

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Yet the party men and women incessantly talk about cancel culture.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Larry Hogan 😆😆😆😆😆🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Honestly at this point Hogan should sit out the 2024 race and just watch the GOP implode from the overdoses of stupidity and racism, and let the sane ones left over in 2028 pick up the pieces and try to reestablish a somewhat decent conservative party.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
He is now cancelled but the party.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Makes one wish said firing squad was literal instead of figurative.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Nobody says you HAVE to be a member of that particular party.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Hogan is a democrat, plain and simple. A loser. We are gonna round up Republicans that hate America First and boot their asses to the gutter. Dems don’t want them, we don’t want them

In reply to @kylegriffin1
I know Hogan is a Republican but I like him.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Silly governor! Internal threats to the authority of the cult leader ARE the problem!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Then, like the lying corporations that issues statements supporting voting and civil rights, Hogan throws his full support behind the GQP wing nut brigade. All you get from fence sitting is a sore ass.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
There must be something they can do to this party. That is illegal because the ass is pissed that she voted to impeachment

In reply to @kylegriffin1
So brave he couldn't choose to vote for either Trump or Biden, so he voted for a 17 years dead politician.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
He is not wrong. His motives...take a guess

In reply to @kylegriffin1

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Keep shooting, do us all a favor.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Here’s the thing: Republicans don’t know how to solve problems. They are the problem.

Nobody, nobody should swear fealty to a Traitor who inspired the January 6th Insurrection !

In reply to @kylegriffin1
It’s the puppet party!!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Whatever, anyone that still calls themself a Republican is a traitor in my eyes. That party is a threat to democracy

Sounds like a Hitler move, he had the military swear an oath to him, not the country!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
So he should quit the party and denounce it. Otherwise it's just talk.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
There should be a law against that until your voted out. Unless you have committed treason or crimes against your party. Like a fucking insurrection!

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Larry isn't bothered about other people begging. Larry's upset that *he* has to swear fealty to someone else - and yet he continues to do. Truth is he would much prefer if others were forced to swear fealty to him instead of that other guy.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
It’s called numbers. Attacking & disowning the one figure who literally revitalized ur party & got more votes than anyone in ur party in history, is going to be tricky. It’s a grown-up’s game.

And There you have it !
That pretty much sums it up ------

In reply to @kylegriffin1
This is the guy who voted for who again in 2020? C'mon, none of the GQP can be taken seriously, they have no measures for forward movement just stagnant same ole, same ole cut taxes for rich and corporate.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
"solving problems" Like too much taxes for the 1% and people not talking about imaginary antifa when there's a MAGA insurrection?

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Now he's getting it. The @GOP is a firing squad, circular or other.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Why Hogan’s a Governor in a Blue State.

That's bc #Republicans don't know how to govern

They just want to be in power, in order to pass bills to keep them in power, so they can then turn the USA into #TheHandmaidsTale

@GovLarryHogan

In reply to @kylegriffin1
The only "problem" the GOP cares about is too many people voting.

In reply to @kylegriffin1
But the Republicans do not want a functioning government. The more dysfunctional, the better. That’s their whole game plan. thefiscaltimes.com/Columns/2013/1…

In reply to @kylegriffin1
Sad all I get from this message if you don’t cater to the “Dear Leader” BS, damn the GOP with 45 in control is turning into NORTH KOREA!! WTF is this “ Dear Leader” BS!! He’s a broke a$$, washed up conman!
