Why are so many young people depressed, unhappy, and angry?

My son just got a job offer (first professional job offer after earning his bachelor's degree) making 4k less than my first job offer in 1997, after I earned an associate's degree (2 years). Wtf? So yeah, that might have something to do with it.
Cool cool, so how come it's always about millennials and boomers? Gen X is 20% of the population of the planet.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
this data needs elaboration. what is the average salary of them, what types of jobs, education level etc. just curious where they stand is all
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Need capital to be a capitalist.
It鈥檚 almost as if you don鈥檛 need more education or experience to get 鈥渆ntry level鈥 jobs or cost of living going up while minimum wage stays the same or the amount of debt most have because of the baby boomers and others forcing college onto us. Buuuut what do i know?
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Allow people to opt out of social security. Biggest government created wealth transfer from often negative net worth individuals to multi-millionaires
In reply to @Public_Citizen
There are also more of us than Boomers, so... it's even worse than that on average
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Here's the answer: capitalism is to blame.

Invest, invest, invest 鈥硷笍 Your $1500 iPhone purchase isn't an investment 鈥硷笍
I'd say my primary directive is to survive until all the boomers die and bequeath their wealth to the true inheritors of this earth (me)
I find this a very unhelpful way of thinking about saving. Perhaps the Boomers were an unsually large group? Maybe they were preceded by not-so-rich cohorts? There's just no reason to assume these numbers should be fixed.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Should probably note that one of the main causes of #depression and #anxiety in first world countries is major financial inequality.
Gee. I wonder why?

NO I DON'T. They're idiots. That's why.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Shit...is it really that much? I thought it was less. Our Overlords need to get their act together!
Further proof that PragerU continues to bee *THE WORST* in their disingenuousness.

is an infectious disease.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Their parents are soulless trump cult members too. That has to be a part of it too.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Becuz we ok Boomers were just that much better.
And many of us don鈥檛 have kids, or houses, or cars... it鈥檚 almost like we don鈥檛 make any damn money with the useless degrees
In reply to @Public_Citizen
The President of PragerU, which saw its revenue more than triple after Trump's election, is not a millennial. Neither are most CEO鈥檚 making 800-1000% more than base employees. Old farts who gamed the system should sit down and shut up. Esp fire & brimstone preachy old farts.

Felt this in my soul.
now I understand why my only relatively broke ass feels rich all the time
In reply to @Public_Citizen
This is why we invest in doge coin and make Only Fans content.
Finally part of something 馃檭
Definitely accurate. Wage stagnation and income inequality are v real.
Guys I鈥檓 sorry I鈥檓 bringing down the average with my very negative net worth
And my daddy wanna know why I don鈥檛 want kids
I don鈥檛 need no more poor people in my life
This is important. #ProgressiveDemocrats #BernieSanders #ElizabethWarren want a democracy, not a Republic. That is not radical. That is #Canada. #MedicareForAll #GreenNewDeal #TaxTheRich is common sense. The #mentalhealth of Americans is terrible because our stress is ridiculous.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
at least we鈥檙e on the 40 Under 40 list! (millennials with less than $40 in savings)
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Phlegm News is truly the best source for perpetually wrong information that will make sure your kids do not call as often. Good job.
And this is why I spend so much time trying to help my friends. We are all fucked and it鈥檚 no fun balling alone.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
I cannot stress enough just how many mass shootings, recessions, and political fights there have been for our generation.
And most millennials, myself included, are about to hit 40. We ain鈥檛 young anymore, but we are still fucking poor.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Here's somewhere to start to reverse this trend amazon.com/dp/B08SL5YQNC/鈥
Oh weird. I thought we were just entitled, lazy little snowflakes.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
You might like this one.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
no it's because you fucking kids are to busy with your iphones and videogames when you should be busy going to church, and fucking your wife to create children to join in the war effort

Asking the same questions over and over 馃槕
No wonder my broke ass feels stuck often

It鈥檚 probably that 鈥渄amn rap music鈥
In reply to @Public_Citizen
That tends to happen when you spend your entire live trolling people in video games.

#VoteBlue2022 so we can repel the Trump Tax Cuts for the elites and wealthiest.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Not 34 yet, got 7 more years so we'll see if that's true when the time comes.
Ok, and what are the reasons for that?
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Work harder!!!!
My parents had 3 kids, two in private school, a house, cars, health insurance, & even a timeshare at 34 LOL. I know only three people who actually live in their own houses & out of those three two were given their houses as gifts.
I am happy as long as my car doesn鈥檛 overheat.

Dang it, you made me retweet PU.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
No it鈥檚 probably a lack of fake sky beings in their lives lmao
In reply to @Public_Citizen
This is dumb identity politics: Boomers not the ones oppressing you - corporations and the politicians they own are the ones oppressing you.

Boy, the news about our generation keeps getting better and better. It's ok. Like the energizer bunny, we'll keep going on. pic.twitter.com/1wSkAejzmU
Now imagine how sad we Gen Z-ers are 馃サ
There鈥檚 still some time left before millennials realise that binge watching is NOT hustling.
I could bring up stats for Brits but let's be honest we are in the same boat as the US, cost of living has gone up while wages have stagnated etc. It's a disgusting festering mess.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
I don't think that is a only reason.
In reply to @Public_Citizen
Nope. It's meaning. Millennials' lives lack meaning. Definitely. That's what I learned a Prager U. Stop pedaling the socialist propaganda y'all learned at Socialist U. They just don't know the meaning that comes from a hard day's work. 馃ケ馃馃馃
In reply to @Public_Citizen
But then without working for it they will inherit all that wealth
When the median Baby Boomer was age 34, what was the weighted average remaining life expectancy of the living people born in prior cohorts? And what about when the median Millennial was age 34?
In reply to @Public_Citizen
I'm only 27 leave me alone
Sad truth: a shit ton of millennials ain鈥檛 job ready鈥攐ften too soft, sensitive, and reactive to be useful. Or they鈥檙e overly ready for jobs we as a society don鈥檛 need (read: social media manager).
In reply to @Public_Citizen
4 x poorer? 馃馃馃my parents had a 3 bedroom at 34. So 3 divided by 4 = me? pic.twitter.com/XMlASsNxch
