Aussie farmers are some of the best environmentalists in the world. The Morrison Government is recognising their vital role in storing carbon by making it easier for them to be awarded carbon credits through the Emissions Reduction Fund. #auspol

If that’s true then why not listen to the National Farmers Federation and take serious action on climate?

Australia: Creative carbon accounting, while simultaneously subsidising new coal mines & gas fields, and more fossil fuel emissions… pic.twitter.com/LndwJygmfI

How are farmers going to earn money from carbon credits if they have to offset their own emissions? Why don't you make it easier for farmers to decarbonise - reduce their methane footprint, get off diesel and find alternative fertilisers- instead of pushing this pretend science

We still want to talk about this: "From the time Angus Taylor entered parliament companies & organisations the Taylor family have managed, directed or are directly associated with have benefited from over $113m in fed & state govt funds." (info: J Tee/Ronni Salt)

Farmers!

1. protect IP/data, don't use data companies that onsell your information.

2. Do the due dilligence, understand whobexactly gets what in ACCU generation/aggregation and who has the make good/production risk

Is this one of your water scams?

The Morrison government is ignoring the need to drastically cut Australia's emissions so that farmers have a chance of surviving the next 30 years you mean. The fact is that energy generation is the biggest emitter and farmers can't do all the heavy lifting.

Does that include Aussie water farmers Angus? msn.com/en-au/news/aus…

Angus, is there a chance that you can also act like an environmentalist, and resign (like Hunt and Porter)? We need to get someone into the role who is serious about emissions reduction. We’re running out of time.

Can you please just establish market based accounting so that the farmers and primary production sector are not still claiming the abatement sold and claimed by others and in different sectors. Legislated carbon rules and integrity are not just important, they are essential.

Can you see this? No till saves fuel and stores CO2! Do you really need to facilitate the cashflow or can you do a bit of good? #auspol #co2 pic.twitter.com/10txRJlrcy

Don't think it'll make up for shutting down exports to China with reckless war-mongering.

Hand back the $100m in water rights you stole from Farmers: Disgraceful pandering has no place in our government. Let’s vote these Lib Lab crooks out. Let’s move forward sensibly @sensiblecentre_

The are environmentalists just as you are an honest politician with integrity.

Zero credibility. Zero. And then there’s also carbon sequestration.

In reply to @AngusTaylorMP
All well and good, but it's far easier to reduce emissions than capture them. How about we do that?

In reply to @AngusTaylorMP
Wasn’t there a plan in place that would have allowed farmers to earn billions in carbon credits? What did your party do to that system?

In reply to @AngusTaylorMP
Focus on reducing emissions. It's not hard unless you have vested interests in the oil and gas industry. Do you?

In reply to @AngusTaylorMP
This would have nothing to do with all the corporate mates investing and owning farms that would massively benefit from these plans would it? #LNProrts #LNPCrimeFamily

No no no…your ‘look over there’ tactic won’t work. Stop mining coal. It’s that bloody simple.
