It is 150 years ago since Loughton Camp was ‘discovered’ in #EppingForest by Benjamin Harris Cowper. Following its discovery in 1872, the first archaeology was carried out in 1881 by General Augustus Pitt-Rivers on this Iron Age earthwork, thought to have been built around 500BC. https://t.co/ziw8CTGneg
