Letting more Australians own their own home is a super policy from the PM.

We believe you should control the savings you make from your hard work.

There is no more important investment you can make as a young person than the one in your own home to start your own family.

It’s a ridiculous idea designed to destroy Industry Super. You hate ordinary people. #AlboForPM

65 likes, 3 hrs after launch. Wow, I can't keep up with the popularity of this. 🙄

So you’ll fight against wage rises that would help people but you’ll let them drain their retirement funds to pay off houses their low wages can’t afford?

In reply to @LiberalAus
The Libs love subsidising the rich so they can pay less tax. The mining industry pay little or no tax and reap billions in profit each year. Yet they still get $12-13 billion in tax subsidies each year.

How are we going to support ourselves with lower super, no aged pension & working til we are 70 plus no Medicare by then ?

In reply to @LiberalAus
A policy that is mad, bad, just economic vandalism. If the stock market doesn’t shit itself tomorrow it will indicate that you lot will be turfed out of office. #auspol #ausvotes

Unlocking more of your super - a wonderful announcement by @ScottMorrisonMP today for first home buyers.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Alternate text: We’re inflating house prices even more, discriminating against 51% of the population who have less super AND creating a Hunger Games situation for young Australians, all so our mates can get richer. Yay!!!

In reply to @LiberalAus
You must be kidding, are you going to drop their HECS debts and what kind of wages do you think the average 30 year old is on to accrue a house deposit in their super.

Good try Bulldozer! You'll all be facing a Federal ICAC investigation very soon. Jail is the coalition party's next job. pic.twitter.com/O5wYYtDZyK

so after we had to raid our super for covid and after saying a $1.00 an hour pay rise will wreck the economy the lnp want us to dip into the last amount of super we have left to buy at the top of the housing bubble with interest rates on the rise, seriously fuxk off

In reply to @LiberalAus
Actually, you’re helping increase demand so the supply side would become impossible as house prices go up.

In reply to @LiberalAus
What modelling has been done on the impact this policy will have on house prices & affordability?

In reply to @LiberalAus
This is another mechanism for the government to shift the risk & burden of a housing market collapse from the creators of the policy framework that makes a collapse inevitable (government) to the victims of the policy framework, aspirational homeowners, pensioners & mortgagees.

TRUTH... LOSERS will be the 1st home owners who will be 600k minimum behind in the investment on super when they retire. LIBERAL PARTY HATES Super because Union Funds mostly manage them and do the best of all Super Funds. It is an attack on you Mr Average. And your kids future.

In reply to @LiberalAus
So, the over 55's sell their, not so cheap, home, then buy a cheaper home to build up their super. The younger folk use part of their super to buy the more expensive home now on the market. Great logic FWs. Am I the only one seeing the irony here?

In reply to @LiberalAus
Thanks for making my house worth a lot more!

In reply to @LiberalAus
The ones that you helped clean out their superannuation nest egg with early release are thrilled to bits.....

Yeah good. Push prices up MORE. Leave people with no savings for their future. Put more reliance on the pension. FUKT.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Can you not see that this policy will drive housing prices up, all while creating a generation of Australians unable to self finance retirement? Or is that the intended outcome? #PutLNPLast #LNPCorruptionParty #FederalICACNow #VoteThemOut #auspol #ausvotes #NotoScomo #AlboForPM

Anthony Albanese will give you a lifetime of crippling debt.Scott Morrison will give you less debt,home ownership in a heartbeat. #auspol #qanda #9today #sunrise #thedrum #insiders #THEPROJECTTV #ABC730 #730report #auspoll #auspoll2022 Bill Shorten #alboforpm #ausvotes

Do you guys want Scotty gone too? Because this idea just sealed his fate. The most hairbrained disruptive and destructive idea of the campaign.

In reply to @LiberalAus
This is great. I thought it was extended to everyone buying a home, providing it’s their only home. This would be better & help far more people. ie single women who are divorced who didn’t receive much cash but good super. It’ll enable them to get back into their own home.

Oh the Liberal comedy gets better by the hour Yet another brain fart which will backfire

In reply to @LiberalAus
#LNPDisgrace demonstrating once again that they have zero economic credentials.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Utter rubbish - this is another wealth transference scheme.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Scotty’s planned home-to-super initiative is a sneaky plan to push retirees off pensions (part or full) with access to free health etc - by moving retiree funds into assessable (deemable) assets, of which their primary place of residence is not - Very Sneaky indeed

In reply to @LiberalAus
Give it a spell. You can almost smell the desperation from the spivs and shysters in this Lib govt. That's their pitch? "We'll use your money to try and get re-elected." Next level carpetbagging from the "new" @ScottMorrisonMP. Cue incredulity. #auspol #ausvotes pic.twitter.com/qOIfH72HH6

In reply to @LiberalAus
Every time this kind of thing is tried we just get more inflation. Home ownership just gets more out of reach. At least Labor’s approach is targeted, encourages more supply - and won’t decimate our Super. Liberals have been against this for years. Why the sudden change?

In reply to @LiberalAus
You guys are certifiable. Pump up the already over-inflated housing market with superannuation? You've got to be kidding, or completely mad.

In reply to @LiberalAus
If the LNP are good economic managers then people won't have to choose between a house and retiring poor AUSTRALIANS SHOULD HAVE A HOUSE AND GOOD RETIREMENT Instead we suffer low wages from the LNP LNP ARE BAD ECONOMIC MANAGERS Vote LNP = Vote Low Wages pic.twitter.com/KGJ7fjbCFN

wants you to work till your 70 then be destitute in your retirement

This is appallingly bad housing policy. Why don’t you actually address the substantive housing issues facing so many Australians?

In reply to @LiberalAus
Won't show bank genuine savings, will only increase the price of housing. Does nothing to reform a broken housing market. Attacks superannuation, which is designed for retirement, not every problem political parties are too inept to fix.

In reply to @LiberalAus
By destroying their future. You aren’t helping.

The problem with this 'solution' ... Is it is no solution. Policies like this merely increase demand, which increase prices and you're back to square one.

What is needed is to increase supply.

Via new developments, rezoning, improvement to transport links etc.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Desperate, pointless, useless. No one is stupid enough to see the stupidity of the so called policy!!! #IHateMorrison #VoteThemAllOut2022 #auspol #ausvotes

Dumbest idea ever! How are young people going to support themselves in old age? #LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder

In reply to @LiberalAus
If the public needs another reason to put this intellectually corrupt government to death? This will undermine retirement savings. Money withdrawn early is subject to tax. Will add fuel to the fire and increase house prices even more. Will add to our existing national debt.

Or…now hear me out…abolish negative gearing for more than one investment property.

In reply to @LiberalAus
idiots. Pouring petrol on the already over heated housing market. Increasing housing prices, inflation. Irresponsible economic management. Desperation from a dying Morrison government.

In reply to @LiberalAus
Why is raiding one’s super always the answer for you guys? What about the long term?

In reply to @LiberalAus
All this showed Australian's is that Morrison is stuck in one gear in fact he's hit reverse. He used this during the pandemic and it blew house prices and inflation through the roof.

In reply to @LiberalAus
You want people to mortgage their future, at a peak buble while interest rates are going to rise. Not difficult at all.

In reply to @LiberalAus
First home super option better than government owning 40% and bank owning the rest ?

In reply to @LiberalAus
And competing with downsizers with lots more cash you nongs

In reply to @LiberalAus
So now when I go to an Auction I’ll be up against first home buyers with an unfair advantage backed by their super? And if labor win the election I’ll be up against bidders backed by the government? Both major party’s have bad policy’s on this issue.

In reply to @LiberalAus
This policy makes me feel physically ill. I'm not joking

In reply to @LiberalAus
When they retire they can’t eat the house. You’re just pushing the problem to a later stage.

In reply to @LiberalAus
“Invest” what a joke. The most expensive loan they will ever take out.

This has to be the dumbest fucking idea in the history of this country.

Some free advice from a registered Property Valuer - this will go straight into house prices, making them less affordable. Are you people stupid, or what?

In reply to @LiberalAus
Yeah, keep lying to your voters who don't have the most basic economic understanding!
