Last year the Coalition delivered an additional $9.4m to the AEC to expand successful programs for additional enrolment and participation the NT. This comment is either unforgivably ignorant, woefully ill-informed, or a blatant lie. Which one @AlboMP?

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese accuses the former Coalition government of having a "deliberate policy" of voter suppression in the NT. "It's not rocket science...this was straight out of the right-wing Republican playbook." #auspol @SBSNews pic.twitter.com/KvLIZO1pUe

Jane, Only $0.3M of that $9.4M was allocated to be spent prior to this election. Given the $0.3M was listed as 'Departmental Expenses' in your Portfolio Additional Estimates, what was it actually spent on? Elections are predictable, what happened to prompt "unexpected spending" pic.twitter.com/U2TH8ErIg7

Jane you are getting confused - your party ANNOUNCED funds - you really should know by now that when your lot announced things, that didn’t mean they would actually be done.

In reply to @SenatorHume
the link you have supplied does not correctly reflect your statement. Pls provide evidence of "delivered". You intimate that the $9.4m relates to the "successes" you outline, yet these are earlier 'achievements' on close reading. So is your account the lie, Ofscotty?

If @AlboMP is serious about bipartisanship in Indigenous policy he needs to get the facts right. @KenWyattAM delivered additional funding to increase NT voter enrolment. Voter suppression has never been our policy and never will be.

In reply to @SenatorHume
As your government had a very bad reputation for allocating money but not spending it, can you tell us how much was spent and what it was spent on?

In reply to @SenatorHume
Keep up the good work Jane. This rubbish is why we barely have an LNP in VIC

In reply to @SenatorHume
Hello mother of pearls, hope you’re enjoying this stint in opposition and based on these messages, may it be a long stint in opposition.

In reply to @SenatorHume
The AEC’s community activities have seen Indigenous enrolment rates outpace the overall enrolment rate in Australia every year for the past four years.

In reply to @SenatorHume
Lol. Of the $9.4 million *announced*, only — checks notes — $300K was allocated before the election! But hey, you're a Liberal. Why let facts get in the way?

In reply to @SenatorHume
I think I know who I believe, actually I don’t think, I know.

In reply to @SenatorHume
Oops @senatorHume you forgot this bit about the AEC’s Indigenous program ‘While the indigenous growth has outpaced the increase in the overall enrolment rate, it still lags behind the enrolment rate for eligible voters of 96.3%’. The indigenous enrolment rate in 2021 was 79.3%

In reply to @SenatorHume
When you said 'delivered', you really meant 'announced', didn't you ;)

In reply to @SenatorHume
I love that you lost and now in opposition. Suits you

In reply to @SenatorHume
You really should delete this tweet or apologise to PM Albanese for misrepresenting the truth But I understand that’s difficult for a pearl rattling Liberal

In reply to @SenatorHume
Ms Hume evidence shows that the LNP announced but did not deliver on this. Once again you are misleading the Australian people. You should apologise to PM Albanese.

In reply to @SenatorHume
And exactly how much of that was allocated to this current financial period Senator. The money was allocated across several financial years. Your being very selective with your comments.

Jane is having a sook about Albo’s comments on the NT today.

Of the $9.4 million they *announced*, only — checks notes — $300K was actually allocated before the election!

But hey, she’s a Liberal, and you can’t spell Liberal without L-I-A-R.

In reply to @SenatorHume
Always the same answer Jane - look how much money we threw at it. Your NT voting restrictions will never be forgotten. All from the white Australian party. Ask Ben Morton how his attempt at questioning voter integrity went Jane? #auspol

In reply to @SenatorHume
it's none of these things. We all know what your party is about and that is why we voted you out of power.

Seems albanese's ignorance on electoral procedures is like his ignorance on the cash rate and unemployment numbers!
That Senator from #DARWIN tried that lie on @abccanberra a while back and was smacked down.
#THEIRABC should have forced her to correct that!
