It should be unbelievable to Albertans that while boasting a $13.2 billion surplus, the UCP believes a severely disabled Albertan should get by on $1685/month during the worst affordability crisis in 40 years.

We indexed AISH once.

We will do it again.

A single person on AISH who lives in the community receives $1,685 a month.

Three years ago, the government removed indexing (which would have increased benefits to matchthe rate of inflation)

Finance Minister Jason Nixon isn't reversing that decision today.

Bypass the UCP, push for the CDB with no provincial clawbacks. We can't let niche provincial govts punish our most vulnerable on a whim and we can't let the federal govt point fingers when they too have a duty to help every PWD meet the rising cost of living.
