?Should we scrap self service tills?

Pat McCarthy is a trustee of Disability Network Hounslow.

She's calling on Tesco to halt the roll-out of even more SSCOTs (self-service card-only tills) at her local branch.

@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 I hate the card only tils. In asda 4 of the 8 are card only and are often free while there's a mile long queue waiting for the cash tils.
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 " SSCOTs (self-service card-only tills) "

Abbreviate it and THEN write what it means ..... PRICELESS.?
No thanks...SS tills mean I have to interact with people a lot less.
Keep em. https://t.co/6DZjAEmA9r
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 If they can鈥檛 be bothered to provide this service just get it delivered.
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 I like check and scan as it鈥檚 good for checking your shop does not go over your budget
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 No, I don't think we should scrap SST's, maybe there could be a way to adapt the SST's to make them easier to use for people with Disabilities,
I for one prefer SST's then queuing up, so quick so easy no long Queue
Disregarded the work force https://t.co/QILltBQVdN
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 Nope - keep both tills- hate having to queue behind people with large trolley full or pensioners who spend more time chatting to cashier than packing!
Plus why do some peep think it's a suprise they have to pay for their shop - they take an age to find their cash or correct card?
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 Let鈥檚 just rename this programme Ban on 5 and have done with it. Ban everything. And everyone.
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 A cashless society is all part of the WEF "Great Reset". We must reject the WEF "Great Reset" by refusing to use cashless shops!
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 I always use self service as long as they take cash. I've no patience for queues and like time to properly pack my bags, not have my biscuits tossed down the conveyer belt and broken. ?
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 Let @tesco waste thousands of money on self serving tills. There will be less ppl will be going there. They will soon realise they will lose money and lose there customers.
@JeremyVineOn5 @MichAckerley @bobbyfriction @adepstein1 I wouldn鈥檛 scrap them all, some elderly customers like to talk to someone in their lonely day, even if it鈥檚 a cashier for just a minute or two.
Ever noticed a tv screen with your face on it at a self service till? That鈥檚 shops grooming us for facial recognition payment.?
