Putin's mobilization is more pathetic than partial, and Russian recruitment will continue to target poor regions, migrants, & others without resources to leave or push back. That works until one day, in one place and then another, it doesn't.
People are protesting in Moscow. (Other cities, too). They are traditionally grabbed one by one and showed into police vans.

Until Russians begin to fight for their own and resist instead of filming arrests and making selfies, they will be slaves. Their protest will be pointless pic.twitter.com/yibyfus1pZ

War but not a war. A defensive invasion. A weak enemy that requires all our resources. Be angry and afraid but ignore it. Etc. The Kremlin has tried to have it all ways and the contradictions will keep piling up until they collapse on Putin's head.

At this rate of spontaneous protest, Moscow's jails will soon be full.

In reply to @Kasparov63
actually going out on the streets now and protesting and being jailed is a smart way to avoid going to the frontlines.

Calculus changes slightly now. No longer do you risk prison against being a slave (but safe). Now for many the risk is real, you could end up mobilized and dead or you can protest and end up in jail (relatively safe).

An army of the poorest is forced into the war.

It's pathetic because there is no real resistance. There is no way to stop the dictator but a revolution. By making the arrests, russian dictator is wasting the fighting power of the potential resistance. Kasparov, you are distracting!

In reply to @Kasparov63
This is how it is. Masses in cities have not made an sound until papers started coming into mailboxes which concerns certain people.

When will Putin fall? And who is in line to replace him? The alternatives might be worse. Change must come from within.

Putin thought that he could use fear to make Ukraine fold. Ukraine since 2014 has turned it's army into a lean mean fighting machine that thinks on it's feet at any given moment. Now with modern warfare they are proving themselves. Russia is crumbling and weak.

But the problem is what protests means in a dictatorship? Who's gonna take down the sociopat? Was Navalny right going back or he was better outside Rusia leading an uprising?

The regions want their referendums and will declare themselves as Russia so now Putin will get more aggressive defending Ukraine parts that declared themselves as Russia. Danger!

Agree. Russians have the right to live in peace behind their 1991 borders. We can accept that Russia will defend Russia with all means necessary. But Crimea, Donbas, Kyiv are Ukraine. There Russia must be beaten and hit as hard as possible. The West must provide everything needed

Rise up Russians. Time to get hold of your tyrant leader and do what the Italians did to Mussolini, or the Romanians did to the Ceausescu’s. Take back your lives.

And how is Putin going to re-equip his mobilized troops? He can't even supply the ones he has in Ukraine now!

2nd issue: Where else can he train them besides near Moscow? Isn't that itself a threat?

This is the impact of long time subjugation. They are toothless dogs, merely existing to bark, wag tails and retreat in the face of threat similitude! Wasted generation! Their fellows are overpowered by few despotic law enforcement officers. They resorted to a film-making mood!

Just like the state of the Russian street protests - partial and pathetic.

They aren’t Nazis but they are very good at combat and warfare. NATO have 30 times the wealth of Russia and are 100% behind Ukraine. Your 300,000 amateur soldiers will be dead soon enough unfortunately. It’s time to protest against Putins imperialist goals.

When an authoritarian detects or becomes paranoid that the people are about to revolt, the dictator sends them to fight to die elsewhere, not for the country but to rid the nuisance to the dictator.
