Most importantly, there is a STARK difference in money spent/saved if: A) the government decides to adapt all our infrastructure to withstand climate change proactively vs. reactively B) the government decides to lower emissions Like it's a stunningly STARK difference.

The key takeaway: "If you're going to build (Highway) 413, build it smart." As we renovate & build across the Ontario, we have to keep climate in mind to ensure everything is resilient. Because climate change isn't stopping. And it's gonna cost us. A LOT…

Given that reducing emissions has a bigger impact on cost than adaptation does, I feel like the key takeaway should be "don't build another highway"
