They crashed the economy with unfunded tax cuts for the rich.

Now this guy turns up to tell us we’re living in a “fool’s paradise” and they’re going to “trim the fat”.

How much longer can we be expected to put up with this?

Absolutely no one is looking at British public services right now and thinking: they seem like they have too much funding

In reply to @lisanandy
Lies lies and more lies. They didn't crash the economy at all. Why do ALL Labour MPs lie? About time there were some standards brought in for MPs.

In reply to @lisanandy
The only thing that needs trimming is the amount of time until the next election

In reply to @lisanandy
Except the economy hasn't crashed. Odd that the £60bn cost of energy support measures should be unproblematic, yet the notional £2bn cost of a tax cut should lead Labour to try to collapse the government to stop it. Another reminder that you can't be trusted to run the country.

JFC. Millions slipping in to fuel poverty, public services falling apart, people relying on food banks to eat and the Tories have the absolute gall to say the UK’s a “fools paradise” where we need more cuts to fund tax breaks for the wealthiest.

Labour crashed the economy.. Nandy you're suffering from Socialist Amnesia. Labour had the high rate at 40% for 13 years and only increased it to 50% a month before you were booted out In 2012 Tories lowered it 45% produced 7 billion more in tax This change costs 2 billion.

"the markets have over-reacted" - no they haven't, they are the realists here @trussliz and you are the fantasist, gambling with people's lives!

In reply to @lisanandy
Love the way that: The Market is the solution to every problem… Also: The Market has got it badly wrong this week! It’s always someone else’s fault with these types of ideologues.

In reply to @lisanandy
What is the point of being in a world leading economy if we cannot then look after people when they are unwell or disadvantaged? This attack on welfare was predictable as soon as tax cuts were implemented and the government started to work in opposition to the @bankofengland

In reply to @lisanandy
Your not very good at this job, Obviously you need to move on, It’s embarrassing what you tweet

In reply to @lisanandy
Is it the 'unfunded' £2 billion 45% cut or the 'unfunded' £60 billion energy package that you think 'crashed the economy? 'Unfunded' £2billion that you're going to use to increase NHS doctors and pay for school breakfasts?

In reply to @lisanandy
He also says we’re unproductive and need a kick up the arse. ( not in them words) by the way he’s writing in the times whose readers will probably agree with him. I wonder is he has the bottle to do the same piece in the Daily Mirror.

In reply to @lisanandy
📍 #Labour politicians say ‘we’ can’t afford a tax cut. Maybe we can’t afford Labour politicians. #GettingBritainMoving #TaxCuts pic.twitter.com/0qdbartVLl

In reply to @lisanandy
We will have to put up with it till a party is capable of taking over, that will never be Labour

In reply to @lisanandy
Scotland doesn't but thanks to #BritNats like you Lisa ppl in Scotland are forced to accept what ever England votes for. Tell everyone why Scotland should suffer again? Genuinely interested how you think that is democracy. pic.twitter.com/heFJGmay3z

In reply to @lisanandy
This is who Simon Clarke has always been. Who this nasty core have always been. Their ideology makes them blind to actual suffering.

In reply to @lisanandy
Then try coming up with a different way forward instead of relying on the 'we're not quite as bad as them' vote

Time Labour caught up with the bigger picture. Unless the UK raises interest, more people work & pay taxes & we increase productivity by enticing the top 5% here to the UK, WE WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY FOR THE ENTITLEMENTS we are used to.

We wouldn't have had to put up with at all during the past 5 years if you and your centrist cult buddies hadn't stabbed JC in the back. All the current crises are on you and your buddies, especially Keith.

In reply to @lisanandy
Trim the wages of the Tory MP’s they are the fat cats

‘Trim the fat’ - what was the past 12 years then? The NHS has record waiting lists, welfare spending has been curbed significantly, local government funding has more than halved - what is left to cut?

me at the malnourished child: you could tighten the belt a bit more couldnt you?

This is a two party corrupt State has been for centuries were one party. The Torys Rips off the public purse for the establishment and the other Labour comes into protect that Establishment wealth . Its a rigged system ..

In reply to @lisanandy
Labour should have taken tougher action against Johnson's government. It is too high price to pay to wait until Tories finally implode and Labour will be an almost automatic winner.Pity, because I believe that under your or Angela Raynor's leadership we would have had GE already.

In reply to @lisanandy
There is no fat to trim in Local Government due to their funding cuts over the last few years and I doubt in the Civil Service or MOD either. Lowest wage is now at minimum pay so they can't actually cut those wages.

In reply to @lisanandy
Richard was right about you

In reply to @lisanandy
Clarke is indeed a fool and needs to be ejected rapidly. He's had far too easy a ride.

In reply to @lisanandy
you offer thatcherism, more failed neo-liberal economics to fuck over the poor even harder whilst virtue signalling that you're saving them. Never vote tory/never vote neoliberal

Local authorities are already cut to the bare bones, health is in crisis, police struggling to deliver everything expected if them. Where are these cuts coming from exactly @trussliz #thirdworldbritain

As long as it takes, democracy works for the many not the few .... 2019 policies rehashed, we will not forget come GE2024 ...

The fools in question are the Tories, they've been living in a paradise of their own making for 12 years but now it's time they were escorted from office ASAP.

In reply to @lisanandy
Because why actually engage with facts and real issues when you can just lazily fall back on Tired Tory Tropes . . .

In reply to @lisanandy
These people are hateful, @lisanandy please keep up the pressure and get rid of these horrific chancers ASAP

If it was their own money, I wouldn’t careless. Would they take a risk like with with their own money, NOOOO!! It’s tax payers money, they are experimenting with, is this the right time now????? Of course not. Vast majority of people will be suffering!!!!!!

In reply to @lisanandy
we don't need to be patronized by millionaire MP's telling us other millionaires MP's would do a better job

In reply to @lisanandy
And your party is in coalition with them in Scotland

In reply to @lisanandy
This was their plan all along. They may appear stupid but they are have a clear plan for a low tax, minimal public service UK with private companies and free ports in control. It’s what their donors want. They are not for the people. They are for themselves.

In reply to @lisanandy
I don’t think the 45p change was wise but it’s not crashed the economy 😳. Voted Labour for most of my life and im embarrassed of what they have become. Lying to gain votes. Lisa you are one of the better ones… give your head a wobble

In reply to @lisanandy
The economy that’s outperforming the € against the $ you mean? Got it! 🙄

In reply to @lisanandy
Im starting to think there is going to have to be a revolution

With a week’s perspective and the pound recovered, “crashed the economy” is beginning to sound a bit hysterical. Some air has gone out of the Labour balloon in the past day or so.

In reply to @lisanandy
blah blah blah more rubbish

I don’t need a tax cut but I do need a doctor

In reply to @lisanandy
Lisa, since 2010 Labour has had its head up its own backend. The PLP in particular has concentrated on ripping into colleagues rather than fiercely defending its previous record and attacking the government.

In reply to @lisanandy
How many more crisis can Labour invent in their ongoing orchestrated dirty tricks campaign? Talk about a storm in a tea-cup to whip-up the gormless media-conditioned Wokees!

In reply to @lisanandy
What a vile human being @SimonClarkeMP is. If we slumber whilst this despicable cabal of right wing chip away at the decency of this country …we WILL crumble. A fight back is required as ‘Your Country Needs You’ Support those on benefits #WorkingPoor #ToriesDestroyingOurCountry

Hands up who has noticed ambulances taking a hell of a long time to arrive lately?

The Conservative government are effectively saying you’re lucky they turn up at all.

In reply to @lisanandy
Undemocratic plans and utterly insulting about huge proportion of the electorate.

In reply to @lisanandy
Until you come up with a better plan Lisa I will put up with this for evermore. Fact is, you and Labour have zero answers.

In reply to @lisanandy
Labour suspended 2 Councilors because they wouldn't go along with Labour working with Tories to take over a Council. Rest of Labour Councilors voted a Tory into Deputy position.

In reply to @lisanandy
Let’s cut the fat. Let’s start with MPs salaries subsidies received in the HoC and review expenses

In reply to @lisanandy
How exactly did they crash the economy? Pound is back to where it was before the mini-budget. Get a grip will you?!

In reply to @lisanandy
Poor old Lisa. The economy is not crashed. Are you a complete arse of a MP. By the way how’s your racist mate doing. 🤡

In reply to @lisanandy
They conveniently forget they’ve been in Gov 12yrs.

In reply to @lisanandy
Your starting premise is wrong.

In reply to @lisanandy
The only fat that needs trimming is the fat greedy tories. These people have no concept of what living on benefits must be like.I’m not but I am a pensioner. When you no longer have control over your earning power you become a sitting duck.Liz Truss has the gun to shoot the duck.

In reply to @lisanandy
How is not being in a recession 'crashing' the economy

In reply to @lisanandy
I ask myself this question daily, about the media.

In reply to @lisanandy
Are you going to send in the riot police to beat them up Lisa? You know, the way you want to ‘crush the rebellious Scot’s’ Catalonia style?

General strike reqd to force a GE.

In reply to @lisanandy
Well we are going to have to put up with these vile psychopaths for a bit longer then @UKLabour will be back in power and hopefully the general public will have some sort of contentment and happiness in their lives. Hopefully you and the other labour MP’s will provide that??

In reply to @lisanandy
He reveals his vision for the UK, of a country vastly more unequal than now - he believes that nothing better is possible

That's funny, it's felt more like a fool's hell to me, the last 12 years #LevellingUp

In reply to @lisanandy
Maybe the Tories can lead by example and reduce the ridiculous amount of expenses they claim each year

In reply to @lisanandy
Most of welfare is pensions

In reply to @lisanandy
#neverlabour can not stop lying. It’s in their D&A.

But can you define what a woman is?

In reply to @lisanandy
1) The economy hasn’t crashed. 2) The markets reacted adversely to ANY tax cut and also massive borrowing. This means that Labour’s “plan” to keep the base rate cut and borrow massively to fund the green super power in 6 years, would have been met with the same reaction.

In reply to @lisanandy
We probably would not have had to endure this shite if the @LabourParty had not worked against @jeremycorbyn........you had you chance but choose to allow this lot in

In reply to @lisanandy
“Crashed the economy “?? Pound back to its previous level, positive growth , low unemployment and creating an environment for businesses to thrive !!! If you want to see a crashed economy go back to the last Labour Govt.

In reply to @lisanandy
The 45% cut self funds and you know that. Even if it didn’t it only cost £2bn. And you know that. You are dishonest.

In reply to @lisanandy
If they trimmed the real 'fat', we wouldn't have them leading this country into disaster
