I see diversity as an advantage. Especially in cyber, teams with multiple viewpoints solve problems more effectively. Having different perspectives at the table to address a common challenge yields positive results. I, and the teams I work with, strive to lead by example.
I see few people who look like me in most cyber meetings and conferences I attend. The good news is that with the 700K open cyber jobs, we have an opportunity to build a more diverse cyber workforce. If we are serious about it, we can help make meaningful and lasting change.
