NEW: data confirms 18-29-year-olds voted for Democrats more than *any other* age group yesterday. Young people literally prevented a Red Wave & saved Democrats. Full stop.

If you know a young voter, please thank them.

They didn't help save Democrats, they helped save Democracy.

Overwhelmed reading all of the comments. Thank you everyone — this was a team effort. And now all hands will be on deck for Georgia. Hope you’ll follow along!

And they didn’t answer their phones for some bogus exit poll. THEY TURNED OUT and we are eternally grateful. Stay the course. It’s not one and done. We must keep fighting!! 🇺🇸👊💙🇺🇸👊💙 pic.twitter.com/4HxxxsMz2Q

Truly… thank you to all the young voting block!

The democrats would do well to run younger candidates. Let the Republicans run fossils.

My 19 yr old voted early. His first time voting! Straight dem ticket in rural central NY!

Thank you Victor, for energizing and inspiring younger people to vote. Now we need to convince them that it's a lifetime commitment. I'm a Democratic Boomer, and I'm ready for younger voices to take the lead now.

Thank you, young voters. 🙏

Wow! This is HUGE news! Thank you Gen Z! We appreciate you!

Important (and ironic) lesson for Republicans that I’ve learned as a parent, teacher, and coach- be perceived as threatening young adult’s ‘individual freedoms’ (regardless of your moral reasoning for doing so), and they will make you pay... 🤔

At the precinct I worked at, we made it a point to recognize first-time voters. We rang a cow bell and yelled, “First Time Voter!” Everyone clapped and cheered. We had a lot of young voters and women. #YoungVotersSavedDemocracy

This is yet another demographic issue that scares the shit out of the white “Christian” nationalist types and GOP in general. I have two teens who are REALLY upset about what we have done to the planet. Who can blame them?

We analyzed that trend in 2017 and found that age group voted roughly 80% for left or hard left candidates and used the data to accurately predict the vote disparity in the 2020 elections ;-)

My favorite part
This is a long term trend ;-) pic.twitter.com/4BVUzk5PjH

The kids are alright… hot damn.

In reply to @Victorshi2020
Yes, we really do owe them gratitude.

Good news: This.
Bad news: I am no longer a “young voter”.

I drove some of them to the polls when they showed up at the wrong polling site! Thanks, Gen Z, for waiting for me to pick you up and then putting up with my 90s (#oldies?) mom-radio hits while I asked you way too many questions about your majors. I'm so grateful you persisted.

I reached out to our GenZ kids’ friends, urging them to vote! I am SO GLAD they did! They passed the most strict gun bill here in Oregon!! 👏👏👏👏

Thinking of the amazing work of my favs at @genzforchange who’ve been mobilizing young people on TikTok 💞

So who are they going to blame now that they can't blame young people for not showing up to vote anymore? We did our jobs this midterm lol

In reply to @Victorshi2020
Our youngest voters have grown up in a multicultural, multi-ethnic world where rights were being expanded. The majority detest lax gun laws, climate change denial and bigotry. By ‘24 there will be even more of them as Republicans start aging out. Change or wither.

We live in a post truth, post knowledge, post logic society. Based solely on the whims of self obssesed rage monsters with Stockholm syndrome. Whose worth and identity is tied directly too the success of their own captors.

They helped save themselves. Good job. 🏆

Gen Z wants women to have rights. Nothing else left to be said really.

Including my kid that voted for the first time at age 18.

We need them to turn out for Warnock in the Dec 6 run-off. I haven’t heard yet how the 18-29 turn out was here in Georgia yesterday but we could really use some enthusiasm for this great senator

Thank you to all of the young voters who got out the vote around the US. Now young Georgia voters, we need you to come out once again and vote for Raphael Warnock! Let's send Herscel Walker back to his home state of Texas. That's where he's been the past 30 years!

In reply to @Victorshi2020
Many thanks and much gratitude to young voters. Thank you, thank you , thank you.

The young voters literally helped save our and their futures. Thank you from us, our children and grandchildren for having the vision for a better America, by voting against the Republicans who only want to retain power at any cost.

Or actually just give them policy that helps them

❤️❤️THANK YOU #GenZ 🌹🌹🌹🥳🥳🥳👏👏👇💙💙💙

Thank you young people...your work is not done!!!

Give us our coins now while were here. Dont take us for granted. Make sure you are passing laws for us🙌🏾🙌🏾 #GenZVoters #GenZVoterTurnout #VoteBlue2022 pic.twitter.com/96JMxM1YlH

Old white people shouldn't be allowed to vote. They clearly don't have anyone's best interests at heart.

Young people, on the other hand:

This is a huge problem for GOP

My 18 year old sister voted for the first time yesterday and it's such an awesome feeling.

2024 will be here before we know it. It's time to get younger people in office. The world today is not the same world our grandparents grew up with. 🤙🏻💙

Thank them by delivering on their issues: climate, gun safety, cost of higher ed, bodily autonomy.

Also, maybe toss the living embodiment of boomer narcissism and greed in prison.

In reply to @Victorshi2020
You know who’s gonna be the gop target 2024

We got to reach the younger generation. I'm 45. I talk to younger family members alot and provide resources for what I tell them. They need us to guide them & teach them. Fight for them.

In reply to @Victorshi2020
It's time we stop depending on black women, young people, to save us. Every Democrat needs to vote every time!

In reply to @Victorshi2020
I don't know any personally but I thank them all!

Don't thank me tho, I am almost exactly one month out of date

Just informed my two young adult kids about this. I'm familiar with how they voted, and yes, they were part of the #GenZWave that mitigated GOP gains yesterday.

I do and I have! My daughter was one if them. ✌️🙂🌊

18 TO TWENTYSOMETHINGS THIS ONE’S FOR US

Boomers learned one election does not turn tides but can move the ball one way or another.

Gen Z voting Nov8 however is THE STORY.

Climate Change work can move forward, sooner than later with these facts.

Boomers get it, Gen Z get it.

Rs, get out the way.

Yeah, that’s great. Meanwhile, 60% of 45-64yo voted, and 65% of 65+ voted. Youth want to make a difference, you have to get 2X -3X MORE to actually show up. If they had, we’d have both House and 62+ in the Senate. #TurnoutMatters pic.twitter.com/jiHl22XDUJ

I thanked my son and a couple of his friends who just turned 18 in time to vote. So proud

I’m proud to say my daughter was one of them

thank you. Assuming you voted blue bc I’d make you face the back of the couch and throw a ball at you if you didn’t.

My two youngest kids joined the blue wave for their second vote!

Who says indoctrination from educational institutions & every corner of the woke entertainment industry doesn’t work?

Heartbreaking that I’m no longer part of the young voter demographic lmao

In reply to @Victorshi2020
The GOP is trying to raise the voting age to 21 now! Thank goodness for the 26th Amendment

In reply to @Victorshi2020
Yes !! My 19 Year old First time voting !! 🙌🏽💪🏽

In reply to @Victorshi2020
My 18 year old Son, cast his First Ballot…Straight Democrat!

Thank you to all of you‼️

THANK YOU to the 1/3 of under 30s who voted in the midterms.

This is why old white conservatives try so very hard to suppress the youth vote, by saying “both parties are bad” and “nothing matters anyway” and making it difficult to register and vote.

In reply to @Victorshi2020
That's cuz daily they're the least wise age group voting right now. They think men can have periods and women should have to allow penises in their locker rooms with no questions asked. These young ppl aren't smart
