I welcome the statement of the AICC that the party will undertake a review of the judgement of the SC on the reservation for Economically Weaker Sections.

The exclusion of SC, ST and OBC from the new reservation has caused widespread concern among the people.

The reason is that, according to the Sinho Commission, SC, ST and OBC constituted 82 per cent of the population below the poverty line. The poor form a class. Can the law exclude 82 per cent of the poor? This is a question that must be examined objectively and dispassionately.

This kind of mathemagination is disconcerting from
a former HM, intellectual and Harvardian.

Y is that 82% ppl below the poverty line r not included in EWS? Y govt keen on uplifting only 18% is because they help with 80% vs 20% narrative.

Even after 70 years of Congress Rule and "Great" chacha Lehru and his family 40 years ruling, if 82% of these communities are BPL then you are showing report card of Congress, we may agree or disagree on other points.

P..Chidamvaeam after 70 years of the Great CongressRule being a Finance Minister of the Congress Party it seem as you Say now Yu intentionally kept 82 % of the Population below the Poverty Line which you could have Lifted them out of this and the hence the Wealth Created

Someone please teach the poor / SC/ST to grow cabbages in their balcony

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Reservation is not a poverty alleviation program.

As usual, this lungi is there to confuse people. EWS is over and above the existing reservations for SC, ST etc. These crooks are always against the interest of the country.

Aren't the said communities excluded from their existing reservation ? No.

Your argument is not For SC, ST & OBC.

You are vehemently Against Economically weaker families in other communities. You are denying them Agency, Willfully.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Are you happy with economic based reservation, that is against the constitution and against social justice. Economic base was outrightly rejected in Indian Parliament in 1950s.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Then, what about the present reservations being given to SC,ST and OBC categories ? Aren't socially and educationally backward classes poor ? Creamy layer seperates rich OBCs from OBCs. So, only poor from OBCs alone are getting reservation benefits under the quota.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
The economically poorest amongst SC/ST/ BC don't get priority within their reservation quota ...this is also to be addressed

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Sir, just to bring to your notice SC(s) , ST(s) , OBC(s) have better concessions financially than General (EWS). They already have the concession with a larger margin than EWS people , it's like saying I am giving a commodity for RUPEE 0 and another person saying give it for -1.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Successive govts have failed to improve the lot of the marginalized whether the poor or the so called backward.Includes your govts too Mr. Chidambaram. If even after 75yrs of independence we have to resort to reservation,it's a SHAME & now is being used by polity to garner votes

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Sir.suprem court ok to give reservation on economic ground . now available 40.5% unreserved may be reduced to36 by giving4.5% to poor obc,sc,st.all state can do it.tn after amendment of69% act.tn possible 5%toUC poorEWS.5%to69%caste poor in+69%

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
The present position is different at present.OBC holds political power in India and they see to it that entire funds of govt are spent for their welfare. They are more intelligent than Brahmins There is no single Brahmin MLA or MP in Kerala and Tamil Nadu for several years

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Look who is running a caste based politics here...how shameful...so typical of khangress!!

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Is Sudalai. Pressure? ?

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Stupid, they already have reservations.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
When they have reservations of abt 50%, why are you complaining in 10% reservations of EWS general category? You need to keep the issue dust without further discussion.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Congress is still busy creating classes and castes in minds of Indians as though it's an assignment British left them with.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
please exclude the rich SC/ ST and OBC class from reservation ! Because of same poor SC/ ST and OBC are being deprived ! It is of no sense to give reservation to rich IAS, IPS, MLA, MP , government workers !

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
What to you mean Mr, you will leave 18 % people to die of their fate.........

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Yes bring all under ews...

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
So as per your data 50/82 is ok 60% 10/18 is not ok 55%? @rishibagree @amitmalviya

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
The SC judgment, with respect, does not clarify the issue completely. Cannot be the last word on the subject.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Excellent discission , 70000/- month who is earning is now poor under EWS quote.. What a joke. ALL OBCs becareful. FC communities trashed us over 2000 years... Now only we are coming back..

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
First give 82% of your party seats to SC, ST and OBC. Campaign for reserving 82% of parliament to SC, ST, OBC too.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Who will you attribute this achievement of poverty to. World organisations acknowledge at @narendramodi govt have brought out majority of EWS from being BPL despite contending with C0vid 19.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
EWS should be extended to SC, ST, OBC. Creamy, Non-creamy should also be extended. Any question..?

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
Could congress think about its stance on privatisation ( LPG)? I mean global conditions are changing again too.

In reply to @PChidambaram_IN
With due respect Sir, let them be judged based on the class, not by caste. Few changes are required which requires your support as well. 🙏🏻
