The Green Party of Canada is a personality cult, full stop. It has been led by the same woman for close to 20 years, and the guiding purpose of the party is to gain power and attention for that woman. When she briefly stepped away, the party nearly collapsed. That is the story.

The Conservative Party of Canada is a corporate lackey, full stop. It has been led by the same crew for close to 20 years, and the guiding purpose of the party is to gain power and profits for the oil companies. That is the story.

I beg to differ. I have been Green for 20+ years, ran in three elections (provincially and federally) and my attraction to the party has nothing to do with May. Tories collapsed completely when Mulroney stepped away, one could argue.

Who’s gonna buy Elizabeth her first drink…you know for the entertainment value

it seems everyone's in a cult and a commie these days, according to rwnj's that is

Trump ball cupper says others are a personality cult? Lol

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
This is absolutely correct. Also May never properly stepped away, she was constantly in the ears of all the Prov. party leaders sowing discourse. This feels like the death of the Greens.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
So is literally every other party. The CPC tanked after Harper, and now it's a Poilievre fan club.

I can't imagine why anyone would give a tinker's damn what you think about anything. And why @washingtonpost would make room for you in its pages is beyond my understanding.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
And she was never popular..

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
You're one to know about personality cults lol

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Maybe just calm your nerves, take the approach of just basically letting her talk, and let people judge for themselves what they think of her beliefs and priorities 🙄🤣

This is demonstrably false in an embarrassing way.

It’s so fitting that the split was over Israel/Palestine, as if the Green Party of Canada even needs to have an opinion pic.twitter.com/nvWIk2Yyon

Forgive me for imagining the whole purpose of the thing is really to keep Liz's liquor locker full.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Any other party where their leader was routinely caught on camera drunk would have removed the leader. That alone proves what the federal Green party is.

When it comes to hard issues, the Greens say the same things as every other branch of the Uniparty.

bro this guy is pressed

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Yeah. Lot of infighting. Real funny for a group supposedly fighting climate change and so pro social justice. They're really only in it for themselves.

She lost me supporting the Libs mandates…what’s happened to freedom for sober thought amidst a world losing its mind.

Personality cults are now the middle of the road, whether it’s May, JT, Pete, or Agent Orange. It’s because we gravitate to them. Check in on Kendzior to understand how we got here. Unwavering loyalty to an ideology is where we find ourselves.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
That’s the sad thing too, they used to have clout, she stepped down and then they became the equivalent to the PPC. Until Green Party can break themselves of May, they’ll always be a cult. I don’t think may stepping up for a 2nd time will help the party. They voted in 2 leaders.

Liberals are the biggest cult. Trudeau could legit punch a baby and take a shit on a Canadian flag and liberals will find some reason why he is the greatest prime minister ever.

She is a grifter of the highest order. It pisses her off when she is reminded that Canada has approximately 318 billion trees today. Which is more than what I was born 61 years ago

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
So is the Liberal Party. Trudeau delendum est.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Like all Green parties the world over, it is a vehicle for radical, evil Marxism instead of a party to reduce pollution and preserve nature and wildlife. No reason it should be extremely leftist, yet it is.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
That’s one way of seeing it. In the alternative, the Green Party is such a collection of fruits and nuts that Elizabeth May is the sane and sober one.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Finally a honest accurate description of the Train Wreck we call the Green Party. Lizzy is so our of touch with reality concerning Climate change. She singlehandedly sabotaged the new leaders.

And she's truly insane. Not mincing words. Insane.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Not the only political party to collapse either because if or without a good leader. Full stop.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Do you remember the Green party before May?

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
It's also the main beneficiary of the portest vote.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
And she's a hypocrite.

Wait … Elizabeth May is from Hartford, Connecticut ??!?

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
JJ chose violence today 😆

The PCs are a shell of their former self after Mulroney & Harper, NDP's gone downhill since Layton, and Trudeau became head of the liberals for namesake. How is that any different?

None of it's good, and it's all ridiculous.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Green is the color of money 💰 😍

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Its such a stupid party, all it does is split the NDP/Liberal vote. The NDP already has an extensive climate change plan and environmental protection plan.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
So much more to that story, but go off.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
I don’t even pay attention to them

Very productive morning where I muted everyone who commented here. But it's good to analyze and understand my fellow citizens

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
The party collapsed because it wasn't about the environment anymore, too many social causes.

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
She couldn’t get a job at Walmart and returned!

In reply to @JJ_McCullough
Anytime someone says "that woman," you know what they are about.
