A lot of supposed “comedy” movies from that era (and before!) are terrible too. I think it’s because back then “comedy” used to basically iust mean “mildly amusing situations” as opposed to like, sharply-written jokes.

Only thing back then I find funny was Taxi. The place that helped Danny devito's career. Mostly because of him and Christopher Lyold.
