Looking for a new place to live right now and it's amazing to me how people just blatantly lie on their ads. Like check this out, screenshot of the square foot advertised, which was a lie. After I complained, you can see they updated the listing. Only a 207 difference.

You'd be able to afford a mortgage for a house in Calgary for what you pay for rent of an apartment in Vancouver. Tens of thousands of former BC folks have already made the move.

I believe that you're going to find that the dimensions are either outside wall or middle of the wall for condos and apartments ... for exactly the reasons you suspect, plus that's where the legal ownership extends to.

Have you considered moving outside the main city into new westminster or coquitlam? Its at least cheapee

I've often seen landlords include the balcony in the Sq ft. Which is questionable. In real estate listings that is typically excluded.
