“Our customers will leave us if you go on strike”

Yes. But they will come back. Because Royal Mail is still the best postal provider in the UK.

This here is the heart of the dispute. The bosses want us to be just another courier.

We won’t accept that.

I shudder when I find out that Evri is going to deliver a parcel. Where will it end up? In the non existent porch they say I have? With the customer who happened to be my neighbour down the road? Or in the blue bin-apparently my safe place?

In reply to @CWUnews
I have always used Royal Mail even before my hubby became a postie. I have so many issues with Evri, DPD etc. Never had an issue with Royal Mail

Stand strong, we’re with you. This is bigger than any one striking group. This affects all striking workers. #Solidarity #StandByYourPost 💌

Here! Here! I stand with you all! xxx

To any business out there please don't use Evri 😂

In reply to @CWUnews
Lol of all courier companies imagine picking evri. Whoever they are must really hate their customers.

In reply to @CWUnews
At least Royal Mail have a customer service help line. Try getting through to EVRI' if your parcel has gone missing. You have to talk to a BOT.🤖 Other couriers ONLY get paid when the parcel is delivered. If you're not at home, then your parcel is DUMPED on your doorstep.🤞

Poppycock. We only get a delivery every three days. We’ve had nothing since last Tuesday (when we go a wodge of delayed mail). To be honest, we don’t notice when Royal Mail is on strike as it doesn’t seem to make any difference to the (in)frequency of our deliveries.

In reply to @CWUnews
100% this I would take a delayed parcel due to strike action over the shitshow provided by every other corner cutting courier in the industry - I try and avoid sellers who use evri due to their horrible service

In reply to @CWUnews
These bosses don't care about their customers. If you have ever lost a parcel, you know they now just issue a refilled check to the amount they want to pay. They don't even bother looking for lost items now, I think they go direct to auction. It's cheap to just give the compo.

Somebody still uses us the do’s can’t have space for this on top of what they must have pic.twitter.com/5xUe38ShYu

This. 500 years of providing service to the uk. We cannot allow the privatised company to destroy the Royal Mail Stand by your postie 👇

Can’t fault RM. Can’t fault delivery drivers either but the distribution centres are seriously lacking with nearly 3 weeks waiting for parcel even outside festive season. Hermes,Evri or Yodel, whatever they are called,it’s not on

In reply to @CWUnews
Over the past 5 years I would say I've received no more than 2 non-junk pieces of mail per year

Let us all ask managers why they refuse to recruit to proper levels needed for a delivery office, ban overtime and deliberately fail the USO. Where the hell are Ofcom?

Aren’t they worried about Amazon logistics ? I would be, they already have the network and drivers. I placed an order 4pm on Saturday not from amazon just an online store but it was delivered today by amazon logistics. Businesses are looking for alternatives to RM.

I offered my customers a free upgrade to 24 HR. tracked in October before and after strike days in October. Free 48 HR Tracked for all of November.
No complaints received about slow, delayed or missing parcels. #StandByYourPost

Communist trade union leaders living in LA LA Land. The larger competitors are so much bigger than RM that there is no chance of RM matching their efficiency. companiesmarketcap.com/delivery-servi…

i disagree with that. our local workers have gotten real sloppy recently to a fact where because the driver didn't right the surname on the red card unless I had evidence of postal address id in my name I couldn't claim it. i wouldn't say that good service don't you think.

In reply to @CWUnews
Royal Mail was the best provider, no longer the case. I know many companies going to couriers, and they’re cheaper. They have zero intention of going back to RM. So you post garbage. This will also impact the @PostOffice heavily too.

In reply to @CWUnews
Not true. The RM isn’t a necessity any longer. Be careful, you will lose all these posties their jobs. From a consumer.

Made the decision this year because of the postal strikes not to send Christmas cards and instead donate the money to charity. Many people I know are also doing this. You will never get this business back

In reply to @CWUnews
At least courier services can be tracked, and CARD your address when they can't deliver, unlike the shitebag Royal Mail who havent carded the last 3 failed deliveries they've attempted to my address. Only frantic calls to my sorting office have located the items

In reply to @CWUnews
Evri. The company who deliver and don't tell you leaving it wherever they like, including garden storage box at the wrong house.

Granny next door in the village might be, but corporate customers follow the best deal for their customer, so no, they won't. Stop dreaming and start rescuing your company.

In reply to @CWUnews
British Leyland & British Coal fukwits used to reckon that

In reply to @CWUnews
Why would they use Evri(hermes)?

In reply to @CWUnews
Your customers will go with whoever gives the best service for the best price . It’s that simple , you are literally destroying Royal Mail .

In reply to @CWUnews
Let them strike as it shows if they can afford to strike for so long they are very well paid. Now using DPD and there service is so much better so we won’t be back

In reply to @CWUnews
I won't buy anything from a company that uses Evri as they are so awful and slow, poor communication. Would rather wait for Royal Mail any day of the week and support the stike. #StandByYourPost if you treat your staff well you won't lose customers!

In reply to @CWUnews
Really not something you should gamble with though, eh. No Royal Mail = NO CWU

In reply to @CWUnews
They will leave as they have a choice

In reply to @CWUnews
Ultimately royal mail & cwu should get round the table until they're sick of the sight of each other to reach an agreement. Postie's don't want to be losing money in current climate. Speaking as an ex one.

In reply to @CWUnews
Commie unions strike again

In reply to @CWUnews
Haha Evri is one of the worst delivery services out so if you think you are the best because you are better than them you are more stupid than I thought possible

In reply to @CWUnews
Spot on, by far the best service. I have a small business and am still using RM for parcels. Only one I trust #StandByYourPost

In reply to @CWUnews
Unfortunately one has to earn what one wants to live on. How about modernising RM, make it profitable and share the profit between investment, owners and employees. There is no other way.... sorry, but with no money in the bank the are no presents.

In reply to @CWUnews
All the way .they deserve a good rise and be left alone .they do a good job in all weather they are out posting mail .

Go, Go, Go , royal mail......
