What’s going on here @tim_cook?

It’s almost like they’re exercising their free-speech rights.

In reply to @elonmusk
Elon, I think them exercising their right to not advertise on this platform actually is their free speech

In reply to @elonmusk
Companies are free to spend their money how they see fit. Do you hate the free market in America?

In reply to @elonmusk
You turned Twitter into something they no longer want to be associated with so they’re not giving you money anymore. Why do you hate free market capitalism in America?

In reply to @elonmusk
When a company chooses where they want to run ads, they're exercising their free speech. Why don't you respect their freedom of speech?

Make your own phone. Take them down. The people support you!

In reply to @elonmusk
Maybe they think they shouldn’t pay to have their brand associated with antisemitism and white supremacy.

Hey guys just started a business, new to business here. How do I make advertisers come back? I’m yelling at them but they won’t come back

Democrats and Apple hate free speech!

Umm, no. They are using it.

In reply to @elonmusk
Keep the word "America" out of your mouth. You have no love for the USA- your only love is making $.

In reply to @elonmusk
good job apple, together we can end free speech

In reply to @elonmusk
Maybe advertising next to an open sewer of racism, anti-semitism, homophobia, and any number of disinformation tweets including your own is not great for brand safety. Want to end content moderation? Advertisers are never going to be interested in that.

In reply to @elonmusk
Only to a child of apartheid like Elon Musk is opposing racism and white supremacists hating "free speech."

In reply to @elonmusk
The sooner @Twitter switches to a subscription model, the sooner this question becomes irrelevant. A clearly coded @verified is critical for any corporation, official, public figure, agency, or individual and should be worth anywhere from $8 (minimum) to $10,000+ per month.

In reply to @elonmusk
They hate HATE speech in America. And find associating their brand with anti-semitism and others hateful content not conducive to continued success.

Uh they had to install suicide nets in the factories that make those phones I'm pretty sure they don't give a shit bro

In reply to @elonmusk
MAGA wants to pretend the richest man in the world is a populist hero lol

In reply to @elonmusk
They probably just hate white nationalists and a CEO who is buds with anti-Semites. Just a hunch though!

My wife left me. Does she hate free speech in America?

In reply to @elonmusk
Reminder: Elon Musk is no friend of the United States of America.

In reply to @elonmusk
Maybe they stopped advertising because they had to fire 11.000 children somewhere in Asia.

In reply to @elonmusk
Apple should ban Twitter from the App Store

In reply to @elonmusk
I also love to bully my clients to get them to work with me

In reply to @elonmusk
No, just your gaslighting. Hate speech isn't free when it costs other people their lives.

Apple is too busy suppressing protests in China! Airdrop limited in iPhone software update for China. 🤨

Good strategy. Insult Apple and its CEO. And Elon - don't forget to double down, and keep doubling down until eternity (or insolvency, whichever comes first).

In reply to @elonmusk
Apple is literally exercising their free speech by taking their advertising messaging elsewhere. Your actions have consequences. pic.twitter.com/CX8iXJXzVh

You mean they hate hate speech.

In reply to @elonmusk
Perhaps. Or, perhaps they just don't want to put their money into a platform with a leadership team that, over the last few weeks anyways, has been quite erratic; and with a CEO who is posting Pepe the Frog memes?

Does Elon Musk hate capitalism? Is he a communist? Just asking for an equally crazy friend.

In reply to @elonmusk
Maybe they just hate your antisemitism and conspiracy theories.

In reply to @elonmusk
They get to choose where to spend their ad dollars. Welcome to capitalism, Elon.

Maybe you are the problem Musk.

In reply to @elonmusk
Why would they pay when you are doing it for free? 😂 pic.twitter.com/s0LfjeHRCP

Anyway, yes, I was suspended for an entire, 7-day week, 7x longer than I've ever been suspended before, for something I tweeted at this dumbfuck dipshit Apartheid nepo baby. Does he hate free speech in America?

In reply to @elonmusk
Apple is the biggest promoter of Censorship, they banned Gab off the AppStore before it could even release as an App for the sole reason that it’s 100% free speech

In reply to @elonmusk
lets be fair, you do have a tiff with them...

E começam os trabalhos pra acabar com o Twitter.

In reply to @elonmusk
Apple has every right not to advertise on a platform that excepts lies and disinformation.

“Free speech” = paid advertising benefitting Elon Musk.

In reply to @elonmusk
You are incorrectly ascribing morality to a business decision. It's more likely that Apple did a cost benefit analysis and decided that their advertising dollars will provide higher marginal utility on other platforms that more closely cater to their target demographic/market.

In reply to @elonmusk
After I reported someone for using the n-word and other racial epithets and graphically threatening to rape someone I was told that he didn't violate the ToS. If the n-word and rape threats are allowed you shouldn't be surprised that advertisers are running away.

In reply to @elonmusk
I suspect it's just that they hate free white supremacist speech.

Not subsidizing speech you find offensive and valueless does not mean you hate free speech.

In reply to @elonmusk
I hate that I’m reading this tweet from an Apple phone.

Probably because Twitter hates Democracy in America?

In reply to @elonmusk
"Free speech is when companies are forced to pay me money. I am so smart!"

There are so many people out there who just up and chose to stake their wealth and their families’ wealth on the whims of this guy

That’s a Rhetorical question Elon. Of course they do!

Progressives will burn down the most powerful open communications platform the world has ever seen to spite one man.

If they can't control it, it can't exist.

What’s the deal with the protests against the CCP? Media seems quiet.

No, they think it should be free. Not something they have to pay for. Get it?

Seems so…
Congress too🤬

Synes han minner mer og mer om Trump. Sår og bitter og merkelig argumentasjon

Where you choose to advertise or not is actually an exercise of free speech.

I mean, by this same logic: I am engaged in speech on Twitter and YouTube. I guess if you're not paying me, you hate free speech.

In reply to @elonmusk
They gotta hire extra security for their factories ya know twitter.com/WallStreetSilv…

In reply to @elonmusk
A bit troubling that you don’t seem to know what “free speech” means

In reply to @elonmusk
Omg 😱 yes 👍 SOMEONE 👦🏼 had ✏️ to 💀 say 🗣️ it ‼️ You 👆 are 👀 my 😀 hero 🦸‍♂️

In reply to @elonmusk
Please stop affinity scamming free speech. People choosing not to give you money is not censorship. Your “content moderation” boards are.

In reply to @MsHannahMurphy
And as of just now, he appears to be publicly berating them:

In reply to @elonmusk
Is it only free speech in America? What's Twitter looking like in Saudi Arabia??

In reply to @elonmusk
No. They are making a business decision presumably in their self interest. Just like you do day in and day out.

he says after banning several leftist accounts

In reply to @elonmusk
something your parents failed to instill in you is consequences for poor behavior. your social & professional experiences have resulted in your feeling of entitlements you are not due- no one has ever reinforced the consequences of your failings to meet societal standards. fail

In reply to @elonmusk
Refusing to advertise on a platform allowing hate speech is Apple using their free speech.

Because extorting one of the world's largest companies always works...

They probably realise that association with the mess you’re making of your brand is bad for their brand.

Why is the only way to get a verified Twitter blue check on an Apple device? Elon, you gave them too much power pic.twitter.com/Nte54fKZwC
