in the 90s ppl didn’t use hotel coffee makers because of an urban legend ppl used them to cook meth. they apparently just confused meth with raw chicken.
if one of my engineers made a post expecting to be praised for ruining hotel amenities for the next guest in a performative act to save 50-70 dollars I would say we need to work on their emotional maturity.

I NEVER use hotel room kettles in the room. Unhinged people are roaming everywhere amongst us. Travel with a small flask and ask for hot water from the restaurant instead.
