Kudos to the IIT students. What we require more is an indigenously developed wafer tech to solve our semiconductor woes. No dependency on China. I would also love to see Nobel laureates from IITs.... In its history, as yet, IITs have not produced a Nobel laureate. #IIT

When I try to find more about this BharOS (really a crappy name btw), I can hardly find anything other than web page of a company who supposedly made indigenous Mobile OS. It will help if there is more transparency about this other than mere photo-ops!

Nobody will use this unless there is app support. This will have limited use. Maybe for devices meant for armed forces. The average consumer in India will still have to rely on android and google.

You are a learned fellow. Don't act like cheerleader. BharOS is nothing but AOSP fork. 1000s such ROMs exist on xda and other forums. I made mine in 2010. IIT Madras just copied CalyxOS and changed the wallpaper. Utterly shameful.
