With Frank Reich hired as head coach in Carolina, Steve Wilks intends to coach elsewhere in 2023. He impressed many around the league in his interim stint, rallying the #Panthers to a 6-6 finish, and should have options.

Wilks did all he could, man.

Crazy that Wilks & Bisaccia both did great jobs as interim coach but didn’t get the full-time gig, while Jeff Saturday sucked ass and is totally about to get $7M/y to stay

being a Defensive minded head coach is such a disadvantage. if your OC is good he's gone in 2 years. if your OC isn't good he's fired within 3 years. damned if you do, damned if you don't

Hope he goes and makes a run with a team that believes in him. Carolina stays besides themselves with these horrible decisions.
Atlanta does needs a defensive coordinator
I hate this. Wish he could’ve been retained. I bet he goes to Atlanta. They want him and he’d be able to get revenge on us twice a year. 😭
Wilkes earned that job! I’m sure plenty players on that team are upset he didn’t get the job. Once again this man get hosed.
I hate the Panthers(Tepper) did this to him. Smh

Falcons DC probably
I was an interim producer at 92.3 The Fan at least 4 times. There is nothing more humiliating and disheartening then to do the job, go through the interview process, and then not get it while being told you did everything right. It’s maddening
If I’m Bowles, I’d absolutely check in on Wilks — and that’s no shade to Foote & Rodgers, but it’s hard to compete with Wilks’ resume and Bowles can rest easy taking a step back from play calling.
The Panthers now have the best coach in the NFC South

I am a big fan of Frank Reich, but it really feels like Steve Wilks has gotten hosed in each of his last stops.

Come on to the ATL!!!

He should, but I’m skeptical. Panthers suck. If Wilkes doesn’t land a HC spot, we’d love him in Chicago
#vikings should absolutely interview him for DC

The panthers are going to go 2-15 next season and hopefully get added to Steve Wilks and and Brian flores' lawsuit. Frank Reich getting the job after failing miserably in Indianapolis says alot. The players need to boycott when this happens.

Lol Jeff fisher Jr. When do teams stop rehiring the same bum coaches.
In reply to @TomPelissero
He’s going to coach Buffalo defense.
Good, he doesn’t need this poverty franchise
In reply to @TomPelissero
This hire comes as a surprise, no?
I think it makes sense to have to see Steve Wilks twice a season. Think he might not have some extra motivation after being screwed by “Mr.” Tepper.
In reply to @TomPelissero
6-6 finish. People acting like he went 12-0 or something. However, that record was better than Reich’s record!
Yeah....he deserves a shot elsewhere
In reply to @TomPelissero
Hope he gets the DC job in ATL and kills us every team
In reply to @TomPelissero
seems elsewhere unfortunately

Bring him in for an interview @Vikings. DC!

Props to Steve Wilks and what he was able to do in those 12 games. Brought respectability back to the panthers which was needed after 3 years. Hope he lands on his feet.
If he doesn’t get a DC job of a better offer (HIGHLY DOUBT IT), we have an opening at DBs coach and he has done that in the past. He also has close ties to Ron and believe he was a leading candidate for DC when Ron took over
Sick how he didn’t get to keep that job. Nfl doing Wilks dirty
I, personally, think that the Panthers should have stuck with Wilks.
This might mean Vic Fangio is the Panthers DC - unless he follows Sean Payton to his next HC spot.
In reply to @TomPelissero
If I was NFL TEAM OWNER Steve Wilks would be my head coach! it really confuses the shit out of me how a coach who ruined the Colts gets another head coaching job over a coach who had a winning record after he took over!
In reply to @TomPelissero
That bull sh☆☆t it wasn't good enough to hire him full time .They strip of his talents and he still win but no enough
In reply to @TomPelissero
Texans, I don’t want Kafka leaving the Giants
anyone that can go .500 with a slew of third-string QBs rotating in and out, no CMC, and a wafer thin WR room should have a few suitors for his 2023 services
In reply to @TomPelissero
Why did he not get a sniff for a HC interview elsewhere? I just want to know this. I believe he deserved interviews from every team. He didn’t get any but from us
