Interesting that, despite all its corrupt oligarchs, Ukraine is actually in the same league of wealth diffusion as Germany, France and Sweden. Russia on the other hand…
What percentage of total national wealth does the Top 1% in Europe own?

Highest: 🇷🇺 Russia 48%
Lowest: 🇧🇪 Belgium 15%

Europe as whole: 🌍 26%

No wonder American rightwingers love Putin. It's not just about his christofascism.

興味深いのは、ウクライナは腐敗したオリガルヒを抱えながらも、実はドイツ、フランス、スウェーデンと同じ富の拡散の度合いにあることです。一方、ロシアは...

How can you trust data like this from Ukraine, when it hasn’t held a census for 22 years and nobody is sure of the real population? Also, Russian financial data is notoriously unreliable. Actual figure could even be higher, or if could be lower. Who knows?

Very surprised at how low U.K. is. I thought we were supposed to be very unequal in terms of wealth distribution? Would be interesting to understand what’s going on here

Russian oligarchs have accumulated all that in the 32 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Unlike the West where the vast difference in assets could at least be attributable to generational wealth.

What about the US?

And interesting that only 4 other (small) European countries have a lower value i.e. more equal, than the UK.
