After a year of Russia's total war on Ukraine, we still see articles and statements from western analysts & officials who were wrong about everything. Why are they still being published, or in decision-making positions? Why not replace them with people who were right?

Everything we see… shows that this fight is for all free, democratic countries… I know everyone is trying to help… I hope NATO and related countries give adequate support… Ukraine is phenomenal… but Russia is ruthless… all support to Ukraine… Arms, Intel, Logistics…

In reply to @Kasparov63
Follow the money. RAND, Koch, Bloomberg and Carnegie foundation want business with Russia. It's greed that makes them push misinformation.. people should be aware

Wasn't one of those Kissinger? (who has admitted he was wrong.. but why did media even ask him in the first place?)

When it comes to foreign policy, you can make an entire career out of being wrong and suffer no consequence.

Apparently, the majority of Russians support the war in Ukraine. Nothing will change in Russia until Russians experience year zero - the same as Germany in 1945.

In reply to @Kasparov63
Probably for the same reason Ukraine has rejected every attempt to negotiate a peace w/Russia. The US won't allow it. NATO goes along w/it, for now. If UK is destroyed n can't pay back our "aid", then we get their resources...if the US can pry it from Russian hands.

In reply to @Kasparov63
As a general principle we shouldn’t dismiss people who have been wrong per se in analysing highly uncertain outcomes….rather assess the merits of their arguments. Many of the analysts who thought Russia would invade Ukraine have been wrong in other predictions and analysis!

In reply to @Kasparov63
Because in western countries, you have a freedom of speech.

I warned Condoleezza Rice in 2004 that Putin would invade Ukraine and that how the US responded would determine its deterrence credibility with Iran, North Korea, etc.

Experts are rarely selected for accuracy, especially those that talk to the media. Instead, they primarily need to be convincing, entertaining, and likable.

I'm not going to hold my breath. We're three years deep in the pandemic, death rates still rising, and the people who have been wrong about everything from aerosol spread to long COVID are still in charge. Some of them are actively trying to surrender to a *virus*.

Because they don't want to hear what WE have to say. I called the time of the invasion within 12 hours of it occurring. I was one of the earliest alarmists in the community. But our system is designed to keep inner circled small and compartmentalized. So some of us sit on a bench

Because people are people and not cyborgs from the future. A diversity of thought and voice is the very exact thing that is needed in times of war.

Seriously you need to be explained that having a view that might be opposite of your own is actually allowed? Plus let's not pretend there are people who never make mistakes We tend to avoid things like censorship, you do know this right? Don't like it don't read it🤷‍♂️

💯 And another way that they have been reporting it incorrectly is saying Russia's War *In* Ukraine, when it's really Russia's War *Against* Ukraine.

Its hard to imagine truth with the mainstream media getting to the point that the opposite to what they claim is usually true. Ukraine won't be the only loser in this fight. Europe is already going backwards. Having to spend more on defence is just like inflation.

In reply to @Kasparov63
You have a hardon for Putin. Nuthin wrong with that; probably justified. But you don’t get to draft 1000s of American kids into war to fix ur hardon. You don’t get to make America risk nuclear war to confront a nation that’s far less of a threat to Americans than their own govt.

it is necessary to take into account the fact that in a democracy, freedom of expression opens a right to contradictory debate, but what is striking in France is to see how the roles can be reversed, Ukraine being able to become the who provoked and therefore desired this war.

True Garry. You were right all along…I remember when Biden first met Putin in Geneva in 2021 with no pre-conditions. You wrote it was a mistake! appeasement only emboldens bullies! Now the US fear escalation?? I fear the results of such weak US security/diplomatic team… 😢

When will there be peace in Ukraine❓When the Russian army withdraws. You should never give a dictator what he wants. There is nothing to negotiate with a war aggressor. There is only one option for the war criminal Putin. The unconditional withdrawal 🇺🇦🆓

Who said there ARE people to replace them with? They have wrong values, faked values, just like the Russians. There are NO human rights, freedom, equality, diversity, democracy, etc. The west is as faked as Russian stories about NATO armies in Ukraine.

VK hasn’t been removed from AppStore & Google Play, though it openly promotes the war, nazism, tertorism, and murder. That’s what I found in my recommendations on VK a few days ago. Why they don’t blacklist VK, but ban the content about the war? Who are they with? Goodor evil? pic.twitter.com/2XhDhku6V9

you're not meant to talk about replacement theory @davidicke but, since you are , why not replace all of them ?

In reply to @Kasparov63
Russian propaganda, Trump, Trump Jr, Giuliani, Tucker Carlson, and others worked alongside, endorsed, or helped cover up Russia's 2016 election meddling. They continually voice the refrain—it's not Russia, it's Ukraine!  And Ukraine is corrupt! They even support Putin's war now.

In reply to @Kasparov63
The worst part is that this hasn’t yet become proper TOTAL war. ☢️ 💥

"Why not replace them with people who were right?"
This is a private agenda of many individuals who are simply afraid & therefore do not want to see what is necessary.😔
One always WANTS to be tied back by such voices.

In reply to @Kasparov63
As Chairman of the Human Rights Foundation you should ask to NATO and Russia for peace talks instead of violence. You're promoting more deaths and blood with your statement. Ukraine is in civil war since 2014. The Nazis of Ukraine killed more than 10000 in southeastern since 2014
