Brother, a suit jacket IS the in-between jacket
I wanted to be a touch warmer!
No in-between jacket when you’re wearing a suit. @JamesRapien can’t relate

Machota: "You'd want that controversy?"

Jerry turns, looks like he was just asked an offensive question

"Of course I would."
Jerry Jones wouldn’t mind a QB controversy between Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush. He said he’d walk to New York if it meant Rush played so well going forward that the Cowboys had a tough decision to make

A bit ironic for a group of folks who critique others for a living, to be irked when others critique them. This is no different than athletes who complain that media members didn't play the game, so their opinions don't matter.
Replying to @GetTonyD
The critiques aren't really an issue and it's been happening forever. Anyone who makes a living in a public space forfeits their right to be angry about criticism. The latter is an apples/oranges conversation.

I think we have our answer as to whether Shakur Stevenson will move up to lightweight for his next fight. Even if he sheds the extra 1.6 pounds & defends his titles Friday night, there are so many fascinating fights for him at 135 and he obviously is struggling to make 130.
A pound and a half?!
In reply to @ShakurStevenson
@ShakurStevenson weighs in at 131.6 for his unified Jr. Lightweight titles missing weight by over a pound and a half and will have 2 additional hours to attempt to lose that weight. @RobsonR60 comes in at 129.6
Bengals LB Germaine Pratt (knee) is suited up for practice. Was out yesterday.
Bengals OT La’el Collins is absent at the beginning of practice. Was out yesterday with a back injury.
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase, on if he sees any differences between Burrow last year and this year: "I don’t think he looks any different, man... Hes going to be OK. He's going to be perfectly fine." Pointed out how the discourse was similar after last year's Week 2 loss to CHI.
Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase, on the struggles vs. Cover 2 this year compared to '21: "We probably didn’t expect it so early. That’s probably why it could be the case. But we just gotta adjust on-the-fly to it. I think we’ll be better now that we’ve seen it these first two games."

Bengals S Jessie Bates didn't let a dislocated finger stop him from missing a snap against Dallas, per Bengals def. coor. Lou Anarumo. "He popped the damn thing back in and didn’t even come off the field." Anarumo said it spoke to the bond CIN has on defense.

Here's a photo of Jessie Bates' dislocated finger. Incredibly gnarly, to say the least.…

As someone who has been managing sports reporters for 25 years, simply having a job as a reporter is no guarantee that you know what you're doing. Very few are great right out of the gate, and no matter how long you've been doing it, there is always room to improve.
Replying to @ItsSkylineTime
I completely agree. But feedback from your editors and feedback from others are completely different things.
In reply to @Ben_Baby
It’s an ollllld complaint from Spurs fans RE questioning Pop. Drives Finger nuts. Sure you knew that, Ben. Fans want a Rusty Hardin cross-examination after a loss, and / or when things are trending poorly.
I’ve always just wanted to be @mikefinger when I grow up.

But also, don’t be too hard on Coach while you are holding them accountable because we don’t like that either.

Ain't that the truth
Something that has annoyed me this season is that there are plenty of suggestions on how we should do our jobs, specifically in pressers.

A lot of us have been doing this for a long time. I'd like to think we know what we're doing.
In reply to @Ben_Baby
I don’t understand the people who say “you need to ask them questions that hold them accountable” in interviews or press conferences. Like that’s not your job that’s the Front Office’s job it just makes no sense to me
Holder gets it.
Last thing then back to work…

Something I hate about my industry is that press conferences have become viewership events. Was never the intent. They are for the purpose of obtaining information/reporting/etc. They’re not supposed to be Hollywood productions.

Correction. It was Million Dollar Man Jr., as noted below. Apologies to MDM Sr.

C’mon man. It clearly states it’s his son, who is definitely not “a legend”. No need for the clickbait tweet.

Great thread from John that explains why Micah Parsons has been so good this year, including against CIN.
Let's talk about Micah Parsons' stance and why I theorize that it's contributing to his pass-rush success, especially on inside moves. #Cowboys

Question (via @MikeGiardi): Lamar Jackson came in with questions about whether he could handle being in the pocket. Seem like he's answered some of those?
