Dear @JoeBiden,

Happy birthday to you, #46

From #42

This year, we’ve seen so many people rise to the moment to offer hope and a helping hand to those in need — through acts of kindness big and small. Proud of the work of @ClintonFdn and our partners.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, our work has expanded — from providing hundreds of thousands of meals to developing free resources to support early learning at home.

Tonight, we gathered (virtually) to celebrate the work of the Foundation community — including 5 inspiring leaders.

There are proven ways to make the dream of homeownership a reality for more Americans.

I hope you’ll join me, Sec. @JulianCastro, Mayor @KeishaBottoms, @SanjivDasCHL, and @LISCMaurice as we discuss now.

Liza Ashley was a wonderful woman, a fabulous cook, and an important part of our family at the Governor’s Mansion. I’m grateful for her long, good life and the chance to be a part of it.

Today and every day we should honor the sacrifices of those have worn our nation’s uniform in war and in peace: those who gave their lives, those who came home, and those who still serve. To all of America’s veterans and your families, thank you.

Hillary and I loved watching Alex Trebek on Jeopardy through the years. He made knowledge fun and valuable. We will miss him very much.

America has spoken and democracy has won. Now we have a President-Elect and Vice President-Elect who will serve all of us and bring us all together. Congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on your momentous victory!

Hillary and I just proudly cast our ballots for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They will work tirelessly to heal our divisions and build a better future for all of us. If you haven’t done so already, vote today!

Phil Lee was a brilliant, compassionate physician and public servant who devoted himself to expanding access to quality health care for all Americans, and played a key role in implementing Medicare. I am grateful for his outstanding service, including in my Administration.

If you are registered to vote in New York and planning to vote absentee, today is the last day to request a ballot (other than by requesting it in-person). You can learn more here: elections.ny.gov/votingabsentee…
Replying to @BillClinton
And if you’re not planning to vote by mail—early in-person voting has already begun, and you can also always vote on Election Day! Look up your polling site here: voterlookup.elections.ny.gov

A happy birthday for Hillary:

✔️A great day with family
✔️ Chardonnay toast with friends (virtually)
✔️A long walk in the woods

There’s only one more thing that will make her day perfect, and we need your help: Everyone get out and vote!

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Jerry Jeff Walker. I’ll never forget seeing him at the Armadillo music hall in Austin in 1972, or his performance for my 1992 campaign the night before Election Day. He was a true original, and his music will live on.

I am deeply concerned over reports of violence in Lagos and urge the Nigerian government to engage in peaceful dialogue with the #EndSARS protestors for police reform and an end to corruption.

Those two weeks can’t come soon enough.

Happy Birthday @KamalaHarris!
In two weeks, we could call this birthday girl Madam Vice President. IWillVote.com pic.twitter.com/DogW8kk641

You can't build an inclusive democracy without an inclusive economy. America can only succeed when all our people are given the opportunity to succeed.

I hope you’ll join us now for this important conversation: live.clintonfoundation.org/smallbusiness #RebuildSmallBiz

October 11th was a beautiful day 45 years ago. Still is. The bride was beautiful too. And still is. Happy Anniversary, Hillary. I love you.

We wish the President and First Lady a speedy recovery, and hope for the safety of the White House staff, the Secret Service, and others putting their lives on the line. This pandemic has affected so many. We must continue to protect ourselves, our families, and communities.

So excited about the launch of Hillary’s new podcast #YouAndMeBoth. Listen in!
Launching today:

For decades, Kuwaiti Emir al-Sabah worked to mediate disputes and to secure a more peaceful Middle East. His leadership and commitment to diplomacy will be missed. My condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Kuwait.

I was honored to pay my final respects today to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Bill Clinton says it seems McConnell “lost his faith in the judgement of the American people” as he and Trump push for a SCOTUS nomination ahead of the election.

“Their position is do whatever maximizes your power … Ruth Ginsburg was just the reverse.” abcn.ws/3cfjVFX

We have lost one of the most extraordinary Justices ever to serve on the Supreme Court. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life and landmark opinions moved us closer to a more perfect union. And her powerful dissents reminded us that we walk away from our Constitution’s promise at our peril.

Twenty-six years ago, I was proud to sign Assault Weapons Ban and the Violence Against Women Act. It wouldn't have happened without Joe Biden's leadership. We need them both again.
26 years ago today, the Senate passed 10-year bans on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines—it was an effort I was proud to champion.

These bans saved lives, and Congress should have never let them expire.

As president, I’ll take on the @NRA and we’ll ban them once again.

We all remember where we were when the planes struck nineteen years ago. We remember the confusion, the fear, and the pain. Today we remember the loved ones lost, the bravery and resolve of the first responders, and how we came together as a nation. Never forget.

Thank you to all of America’s workers, and especially the essential workers who’ve kept our nation going in these difficult times. We should honor your hard work by building an inclusive economy with a living wage, strong benefits, and jobs for the millions who’ve lost theirs.

I recently caught up with @DenisMukwege about the great work he and many others are doing to build a better future in eastern DRC, where ongoing violence still threatens innocent civilians. That must be replaced with dialogue and reconciliation to build a safe, prosperous region.

I’m saddened by the passing of Tom Seaver, a great competitor who did so much for baseball, New York, and America.

There are too many people being lost to and destroyed by the opioid crisis. I'm hopeful that the work we're doing at the @ClintonFdn will save lives and make a big difference.

Three years after horrible atrocities committed against the Rohingya people, hundreds of thousands are still in refugee camps while the Rohingya who remain in Myanmar continue to face discrimination and dangerous conditions. The world must stand up for the rights of the Rohingya.

The people of Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and other parts of the Midwest need our help to recover in the aftermath of the derecho storms. This was no ordinary storm system, and the devastating effects are widespread. We should do all we can to help them rebuild and recover.

We expect our elected officials to protect the right to vote and to ensure every vote is counted. This attack on the Postal Service —an institution as old as the Republic itself and depended upon, and trusted by, millions of Americans— is designed to ensure that neither is done.

If there was ever a time to protect this beautiful experiment we call a Democracy, it’s now.

This is a terrific choice! @KamalaHarris will be a great partner and she and @JoeBiden make a strong team.

Heartbroken by the devastation caused by the recent explosion in Beirut. My thoughts are with those in Lebanon & around the world touched by this tragedy. The Lebanese people are strong and I know in time they’ll come together & heal. The rest of us should do all we can to help.

Through his faith in principled compromise, and his ability to see his adversaries as human beings, John Hume helped forge the peace that has held to this day. My full statement on my friend's passing here: wjcf.co/3foeBjz

I’ll always be grateful for Sergeant First Class Glenn Powell — for his friendship and his commitment and service to his country. He ensured it was possible for all of us to travel, making him an unsung hero in the White House. I’ll miss him and his smile very much.

John Lewis gave all he had to redeem America’s unmet promise of equality and justice for all, and to create a place for us to build a more perfect union together. In so doing he became the conscience of the nation.

Reverend Vivian was a man of faith and a giant in the fight for civil rights. He believed in our basic humanity and that all us who share it are entitled to the same rights. Throughout his long, good life he pushed us to do and be better. May he rest in peace.

When I was in elementary school I wrote @BillClinton letters often. So much that on my 13th birthday I received a card from the White House. I promised myself I would visit the town that he was born in one day. Well, We’ve found Hope! #robersonroadtrip pic.twitter.com/szi1oGKXoR
