There's also something very 21st century about it. Where overpaid insiders gorge on taxpayer funds, slicing up the pie amongst themselves while preaching about "the age of entitlement"

Time to change the law. At the very least, the Surveillance Act NSW needs a public interest defence. At the moment there is none.

20 years ago today. US, UK, Aus & Poland invaded Iraq, an illegal act of aggression. The pretext despite authoritative doubts – weapons of mass destruction. Not true. We were told this one would be quick. Our troops finally left Iraq in June 2020. #auspol

AUKUS WILL FUKUS.

If this isn’t the (overdue) cue the climate and peace movements needed to unite in the fight against humanity’s two existential threats, then we don’t know what to tell ya.

The #ClimateEmergency and nuclear threat are inextricably connected.

likely to show no carbon budget for new fossil emissions while SGM facilitates new carbon emissions from coal and gas. Abbott didn’t pretend he cared about the science because he didn’t. But @AlboMP @Bowenchris say they do. Chasm between rhetoric and reality #auspol

Have you heard of the Pennant-winged Nightjar?🐦

The breeding males have extraordinary "pennants" extending from their wings. It is a #MigratorySpecies from Africa, found in many different habitats, breeding in wet savannahs and deciduous forests.

This week a block of Pacific nations called for a global just transition away from fossil fuels.

Meanwhile nearby, Australia is still EXPANDING its coal & gas industry 🤯 #auspol

It's not a "transition" if you're still increasing the problem.

Good to see this strong response.
