Welcome Monique. We’re all the better for having you as part of the team.
Delighted to have been offered tenancy @outertemple! It’s been a pleasure to learn from my supervisors, (incl @legalwillyoung & @EliotWoolf) members of chambers, my instructing solicitors and maybe most importantly, clients who I’ve had the pleasure to represent in my 2nd six.

They also say the performance is definitely going ahead tonight and the venue will be completely cool (despite the venue not having air conditioning but only having air 'cooling' - basically fans with water vapour).

The agent assured me that @ATGTICKETS management had instructed her to say government guidance didn't apply and the theatre was fully air conditioned. The first is a lie; the second is inconsistent with the theatre's own website.

I have tickets to see @moulinmusicaluk tonight. I've spoken to @ATGTICKETS to try to change the date due to the government guidance not to travel. They refused, telling me the government guidance does not apply after 3pm today. That, of course, is simply a lie.

@moulinmusicaluk Hi - I've got tickets for tonight. Is the perforance going ahead? Is there any chance of swapping out tickets for a non heat-wave day?

As an initial admirer of Mordaunt/Tugendhat - just because they seemed the least tainted - I fear this is true regarding Mordaunt.
If Penny Mordaunt wins, and shows the same . . . flexibility with the truth in Downing Street that she's shown over gender (and the Turkey veto), I hope people don't say "we weren't warned."
You are being warned right now. You just "don't want to fixate on culture wars."

There's a lot of briefing going on against Penny Mordaunt right now, saying she's not up to the job.

Unlike Boris Johnson.

Donate the tickets 🤔

I did think of that, but it's not fair to the person who would win (and has now won) next if I don't accept the tickets within the alloted 10 mins.

WORST NEWS EVER: I just won two tickets to see today's matinee performance of @kitkatclubLDN via @TodayTixUK and I've got a work meeting so can't go.

Okay, it's not the worst news ever but I'm seriously irritated.

Can we please evict this man from the #ukemplaw community.
In reply to @DeshpalPanesar
It would take a Braverman than @ishkolhatkar to judge that. And as for @Adam_Creme, I wouldn't Truss him. You, on the other hand are not Badenoch to be bundled up with the other two. I could join, but that might be Mordaunt-ing for all. Zahawi a deal then?

This is big news. Average passenger volume is 218k (heathrow.com/company/about-…) but obviously higher in summer.

So this looks like over 50% of Heathrow passengers will be affected.
Heathrow Airport has set a cap of 100,000 on the number of daily passengers using the airport to try and alleviate disruption over the summer.

This is either a magnificent piece of ‘black arts’ by one of her rivals, or rather unfortunate. I have no idea whether it is genuine or not.

The point is that it was (arguably) *unlawful* deportation, and the court granted a temporary injunction to allow fuller argument. But you already know that.

You would need to show your kidney issues amount to a disability under the Equality Act. Showing it has a substantial adverse impact on you will be straightforward (4 hours dialysis a day will easily do it) /2
Replying to @daniel_barnett
so you just need to show your problems have lasted, or are likely to last, more than a year. I suspect that’s pretty straightforward also. Assuming you’re a member of the BMA, I suggest a word with their legal team. They’re very good.

Assuming there is a cardiology-certified training hospital which is closer (which may or may not be the case), there is probably a tribunal claim for failure to make reasonable adjustments /1

I’m a dialysis patient and I’m also a cardiology trainee. The deanery are sending me to a hospital 1.5 hours away during rush hour. If I leave at 1730, home at 1900, start 4 hours dialysis at 1930, needles out ~00:00. To me that’s unsustainable, but deanery are deaf to my concern

Can someone explain to me why the Lascelles Principle is said to form part of our constitution. He was clearly a qualified man to opine, but so is (eg) the Cabinet Secretary. Just because he said it doesn’t make it a constitutional principle, surely?
