The disgust only deepens with reflection — as does the anger at all those who stood by and did nothing

Just noting that crime families are often brought down by someone they overlooked.

I’ve heard a lot of people say, “let’s throw everything against the wall and see what sticks,” albeit in a slightly different context (and usually not involving ketchup).

Remember Trump was impeached twice. It should never have gotten to this point.

It really appears that violence wasn’t a byproduct. It was an intended feature.

The cowardice of all who knew and remained silent…

The biggest scandal in American political history. And that’s saying a lot. Jaw dropping. Sickening. Infuriating.

Has Mark Meadows flipped? Or is he about to? Just asking. Today’s suddenly scheduled hearing may give us some information. Let s see.

Mark Meadows may have more exposure than a nudist swimming in an aquarium tank.

This is an example of the nuance and empathy that the Supreme Court ruling is bringing forth from a broad community of allies. But I am sure there are some who think Joe Burrow should just “Shut up and throw the ball.”

I remember the anticipation over “Who shot J.R.?” It’s like tomorrow’s surprise witness at the January 6 hearings: “Who sabotaged American democracy?” (I mean we already know, but still, get the popcorn ready!)

Congratulations @alexwagner. A wonderful choice. Godspeed.
I am absolutely thrilled and honored and generally upside down with excitement to come back home to @MSNBC to host the 9PM hour, beginning August 16th. LET'S DO THIS nytimes.com/2022/06/27/bus…

Another important story about the human cost of this decision. This type of reporting is important to read and share.
Abusive partners often tightly control a victim’s reproductive choices by restricting the use of contraception or even engaging in sexual assault.

A human story beyond the rhetoric and talking points.
Pro-lifers don't like complexity. At 17 weeks my placenta detached and he was much too small. I thought I felt my baby's frantic attempts to breathe. My OBGYN advised me to terminate the pregnancy, there wasn't much time. But I couldn't.

Sometimes major setbacks precede, and even spur, transformational victories.

I’m curious: which companies now paying for abortions for their employees also gave money to senators who voted to confirm the justices who gutted this constitutional right?

Even in our digital age, there is something powerful about seeing people in the streets. And the press can’t help but cover it. Longtime organizers know the power, and the importance of keeping them peaceful.

Overturning Roe is already unpopular. What happens when local news stories emerge from around the country of the resulting hardship and tragedy? There will be faces and names that personalize our new world. And it will be heartbreaking.

On a day of many thoughts, my heart breaks especially for the most marginalized members of our society. The burden is almost always heaviest for those who are already burdened.

…oh and the last president came close to blowing up American democracy.

Yesterday’s gun ruling would like to have a word with this whole “let’s leave abortion up to the states.” Don’t we already know where the politicians on the court want this story to end? A nationwide ban.

If it takes 50 votes to confirm a Supreme Court justice, it should only take 50 votes to overrule them when they act like highly-partisan politicians.

Just so everyone knows, these are the states - including Massachusetts - that had one of their gun laws overturned today.

To stand fast in the face of a president and his cronies seeking to fracture American democracy. These are the heroes who can save our nation. But the threat continues from all who would eagerly trade democracy for power.

I pity the people who follow me on Twitter so they can tweet that I am irrelevant.

Apparently those who plotted the insurrection are also very polite.
Why is the Trump White House suddenly a very polite place to work? Everyone’s going around saying “pardon me.”
