The @Conservatives just voted against @UKLabour’s motion to impose a windfall tax on oil and gas producers to cut yours bills.

A disgraceful decision in a cost of living crisis.
After 100 Downing Street fines, haven't you and the @Conservatives done enough crime already @BorisJohnson?
🚨New three-word slogan klaxon

Boris Johnson told Cabinet: "Crime crime crime is what we want to focus on."
“Either the government did not understand their own agreement, they were not upfront about the reality of it, or intended to break it all along.”

Well said @SDoughtyMP. @BorisJohnson has no one else to blame.
The government's international development strategy is tragic for those facing conflict while wars rage, disastrous for the planet as we face a climate crisis, and bad for health as the world still reels from the pandemic.

Labour would restore our aid commitment to 0.7%.

Proving once again that the Tories haven’t changed and still live in a different world to the rest of us…
Tone deaf, out of touch and condescending in a cost of living crisis.

@BorisJohnson’s @Conservatives have run out of road.
A government minister has suggested that people struggling with the cost of living should take on more hours or move to a better-paid job.

This is beyond heart-wrenching.

My prayers go out to everyone affected by what appears to be a barbaric attack on Black people living their daily lives.

"For too many years, we’ve been governed by a party who has made foreign policy transactional. Making short-term calculations... With Labour, the UK would have a foreign policy of which we can be proud."

The attacks on mourners at the funeral of the journalist, Shireen Abu Aqla, have shocked the world.

The Labour Party unequivocally condemns the violence by Israeli forces.

Out thoughts are with Shireen’s family and all those who mourn her death.
Britain should be a country that keeps its word.

The government’s threats to tear up the protocol come at the worst possible time.

The last thing we need is a trade war in a cost of living crisis and divisions with Europe during Putin’s illegal war.

There must be accountability for the death of Shireen Abu Akleh. These scenes of mourners being beaten are indefensible and only heighten demands for justice and add to her family’s pain.
Horrible scenes as Israeli security forces beat the funeral procession for slain journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the crowd momentarily lose control of her casket

One of the next Met Commissioner’s priorities will be working to win back the trust of women.

Trust that has been so flagrantly lost by this failing force over the last few years.

Here’s my article on why this matters.…

Well I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry taking my @Arsenal mad boss @Keir_Starmer to the #NorthLondonDerby tonight! 😬#TOTARS #THFCvAFC
Public service announcement: There are serious delays on the DLR line from Woolwich Arsenal. @Arsenal fans should allow plenty of time getting to the #NorthLondonDerby from South London. #TOTARS #THFC #COYS
Thank you ⁦@SpursOfficial⁩ for arranging transport for ⁦@Keir_Starmer⁩ to take him to the #northlondonderby in appropriate style. 😊

The arrests in #HongKong are worrying and these questions need answering properly.

Although the Minister didn't answer whether the Govt has raised this the Embassy, I'm pleased the safety of HKers in the UK has been acknowledged, and @UKLabour will be following this up.
Putin’s brutal invasion of Ukraine marks a turning point for Europe.

As we face a new reality, it's more important than ever to do so with our allies. Sweden and Finland are strong security partners and we stand together in defence of democracy and the rule of law.

The shocking death of Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh must be urgently investigated and those responsible held to account.

Press freedom is a fundamental right and attacks on journalists are completely unacceptable. (1/2)
How can the UK stand up for international law if the Conservative government keeps breaking it?

We should be working with the EU to tackle Putin’s rogue regime, not starting trade wars in a cost of living crisis. Northern Ireland needs practical solutions not reckless posturing.

Broken promises for millions of workers.

No sign of the Employment Rights Bill we were waiting for in the #QueensSpeech. The government now signalling to employers that workers' rights are not a priority and to carry on with fire and rehire.

@DavidLammy is there anything you can do for a constituent who is about to miss their first holiday in many years as they cannot get passport back from passport office?? Sent it in to get child’s first passport (months ago) and now can get no answer/ has no way to progress it.

Sure. Please emai me and my office.
.@Keir_Starmer has just shown more integrity, decency and principle in 5 minutes than @BorisJohnson has in his entire life.
Putin’s speech was full of lies that smack of desperation, but we mustn’t be complacent. The Russian state is failing at its illegal war, but it could still win.

We must keep up the military, diplomatic and humanitarian support to Ukraine. And prosecute Putin for his war crimes.

For the naysayers: 1. I and my children think Ncuti Gatwa is a compelling, captivating and versatile actor. He will bring something special to the role of Doctor Who. 2. Black men make up just 1.5 % of the UK population. We celebrate his achievement as a black male role - model.

Today is polling day - let’s send a message to @BorisJohnson and his rotten government.

#VoteLabour tomorrow to send the @Conservatives packing and send a message to @BorisJohnson that enough is enough.
When even the @Conservatives' own local candidates are distancing themselves from their party colleagues in government, it shows how toxic they have become.

Vote Labour on Thursday to send a message that you've had enough of the law-breaking liar in Number 10, @BorisJohnson.
George Eustice on the cost of living crisis:

“Generally speaking, what people find is by going for some sort of value brand rather than own branded products they can actually contain and manage their household budget.”

The out of touch @Conservatives are unfit to govern.

@NadineDorries this is beneath you. Frank Dobson was my political mentor from the day I entered Parliament. He and his wife Janet were just so generous and kind. Were he alive today he would make short sharp shrift of this blatant lie, but for the love of God you should delete it
We are expected to believe that a curry and beers arrived for about 30 people at 10pm, and this was a break for a work meeting?

The fact that Boris Johnson is running scared from updating Parliament on his fruitless trip to India shows it was nothing more than a pathetic attempt to distract from his lies and law-breaking at home.
Boris Johnson will not be making a Commons statement on his trip to India today. First time in years I can recall a PM opting not to update MPs at 1st opportunity on a major trip overseas.

Surely, given his ‘Oxford debating skills’, he’s not scared of being quzzed by MPs?
