Cory Booker canceling New Hampshire trip due to flu —>
PRO TIP: get your flu shot!

@CoryBooker has come down with the flu & it’s no joke. To save Granite Staters from catching it, the campaign has to reschedule today’s NH trip. Look for us to announce a new date for that soon, as well as trips to 2 other early states later today.

"UK politics is so bizarre," I scoff as I scroll twitter before turning back to my work and remember that Donald Trump is president, Andrew Yang is now a serious candidate, Pete Buttigieg came out of nowhere and we still have another 11 months to go in this election cycle

Cory Booker's is ending the year in rough shape. But some signs keep his team optimistic: Bump in fundraising, others dropping out, expecting a volatile field until the end. He's planning a $500k Iowa ad buy & his path, while narrow, seems not-impossible:

The backlash I'm seeing to this comment now might dissuade him from using it on the debate stage. yikes
Another Buttigieg line we may see again, from that CBS interview: “I may be the only person on that debate stage who’s not a millionaire.”

Buttigieg grew up wealthier than Biden, Warren, or Sanders, but emphasizes that he’s the poorest candidate *now.*

I’m sorry I haven’t replied to your email but I glanced at it, vowed to deal with it later, and now the very thought of even opening it fills me with crippling dread.

I asked Booker this during his RV tour of Iowa over the summer, he said "no."

Asked him in Iowa City this weekend, he said maybe.

Yeah, @RyanLizza didn't make this story up. I can assure you. Biden told me - on the record - he would not commit to two terms when I interviewed him in October.
And I didn't come up with the question out of thin air.

Pre-internet, you were a lot more dependent on getting on local TV channels and into local newspapers, which often required being there!

I'm just thinking logistics, though. I guess they did multiple events in one city? Right now I'll follow a candidate around on 3-5 stops around a state in a day and it will start at 9am and end at 9pm

Hold up -- "the brutal, 15-hour, 10-speech daily schedules some candidates go through"??
Were candidates really making 10 speeches a day in '79-'80?
Ronald Reagan was 68 when he set out to run in 1980, nearly a decade younger than Joe Biden now is. But back then, Reagan's age was seen as a major liability and there was a widely held view that he'd only serve a term if elected (though he refused to commit to it): pic.twitter.com/3r1tKQeWWj

FYI — “82 percent of 35-to-39-year-old women conceive within a year, compared with 86 percent of 27-to-34-year-olds. (The fertility of women in their late 20s and early 30s was almost identical—news in and of itself.)” theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…
I can’t believe Taylor Swift is about to turn 30 - she still looks so young!

It’s strange to think that 90% of her eggs are already gone - 97% by the time she turns 40 - so I hope she thinks about having kids before it’s too late!

She’d be a fun mom. :)

I mean Kamala Harris had qualified for the debate before she dropped out but ok

Notably, @MikeBloomberg is at 5% here, which is technically his first qualifying poll for December. But, he's not going to qualify for December. This could be relevant for January, however, if the donor threshold is relaxed in the future.

Are Biden's numerous verbal stumbles the result of his childhood stutter? He doesn't think so.

This reminds me of a time in high school when all the theatre kids went out of town on a trip and stayed at a budget “Classic American Economy Inn”

Our teacher (who was everyone’s favorite) said “DO NOT knock on my door unless it’s an emergency”

Well, one student did... (1/2)

The guy who knocked on the teacher’s door was notoriously rambunctious, so our teacher was like “WHAT is it this better be good” The guy explained that he pulled the comforter down & there were BROWN STAINS which everyone assumed was dried blood or something ALL OVER HIS SHEETS

So a friend of mine was staying at a famous, high-end hotel resort/hotel this past week & found...human 💩 *in her bed* upon arrival.

What would be fair compensation from management for this trauma?
