People were doing the right thing.

We were all in it together.

Boris Johnson and Number 10 weren’t.

That’s why he is unfit for office.

January is always a tough month for paying the bills. As the weather gets colder, please make sure you are getting all the help you can for fuel bills.

Residents in Merthyr Tydfil can visit @MerthyrCBC’s website to see if they are eligible for support πŸ‘‡
Need support with fuel costs this winter?
You may be able to claim a one-off Β£100 payment from your local authority to help pay your winter fuel bills. Find out more here. πŸ‘‡

Covid restrictions are changing in Wales, starting with up to 500 people being able to attend outdoor events from tomorrow.

This shows just how seriously Boris Johnson has degraded the office of Prime Minister.

The Conservatives have let Britain down.

An apology isn’t the only thing the Prime Minister should be offering the palace today.

Boris Johnson should resign.

This gets more sickening by the hour! As the Queen led by example, it seems Downing Street was party central. Boris Johnson needs to go and go now!
Downing Street has failed to deny reports that two parties took place at Number 10 the night before Prince Philip's COVID-restricted funeral trib.al/kBifYKc

For Gods sake. Who do they think they are?

The Queen sat alone at her husband’s funeral out of respect for Covid rules & for the country.

Yet this lot who made the rules think they are above them & show no respect for anyone by partying again

Your passion and commitment is well renowned Iest and very much appreciated. Good luck & best wishes in your new role.
Since tomorrow is my final day @UpperRhymneyPS , I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community, parents/guardians and most importantly the children for all of your support. Wishing Miss Kabza the very best as the new Family Liaison Officer.

Many congratulations David. πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
Congratulations David on your fantastic achievement - Vice World Champion at the Bahrain Rotax Max Grand Finals 🏎🏁@CaerphillyCBC @RossAWhiting @richardedmunds1 @ChristinaHarrhy @Dawn_Bowden @GeraldJonesLAB

I asked Jacob Rees Mogg if the Leader of Welsh Conservatives is also a β€˜lightweight figure’ and if he could name him - he could not - it’s Andrew RT Davies btw

Very pleased to have been reselected as Welsh Labour candidate along with my friends and colleagues @GalsworthyErnie and Ian Thomas for Treharris Ward pic.twitter.com/H7oIdncOvv

Sept 2020 Priti Patel said she’d call police to report neighbours holding parties.

Today she’s defending Boris Johnson after he admitted doing just that.

As Home Sec she’s responsible for upholding the rule of law for all. Not one rule for your mates & another for everyone else

This PM is an embarrassment for the UK & must resign.

At a time of national crisis, during which the British people have followed the rules and sacrificed so much, we have had a PM without decency or integrity.

@Keir_Starmer & @UKLabour would treat Britain with respect. #PMQs

πŸ“Ί WATCH: Last night I voted to cut the cost of heating your home.

The UK Tory Govt blocked @UKLabour's proposals meaning you will be Β£200 worse off this year.

@WelshLabour hasn't shied away from the cost of living crisis, but we need the clout of UK Govt to help more homes.

The Council elections take place this year. Its quick, easy and means you can have a say about who your local representatives in @MerthyrCBC Register to vote here πŸ‘‡ gov.uk/register-to-vo…

No-one is above the law. It damages trust and confidence in government if the person leading it and the people around him break the law, lie to us and laugh about it.

Wales deserves so much better than @BorisJohnson

BREAKING:

The Conservative Party just voted against keeping energy bills low.

Instead of providing working families with security, they are abandoning them.

Back @UKLabour's plan to secure your family's income today.

In May 2020, the Government told us to only meet one other person outside.

Millions of people stuck to the rules. Often separated from loved ones.

Meanwhile, Boris Johnson’s Conservatives ignored them.

With each passing lie the Prime Minister erodes trust in the rules that are in place to keep us safe.

Boris Johnson's selfishness is harming Britain.

His disrespect for Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney communities shows he is not fit to hold the office of PM.
Boris Johnson, your deflections and distractions are absurd.

Not only did you know about the parties in Downing Street, you attended them.

Stop lying to the British public. It’s time to finally come clean.

Delighted to hear that @TNLComFund has awarded a whopping Β£331,209 to Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney community projects since November 2021.

Diolch to #NationalLottery players for this investment into our community.

Many constituents have written to complain about bus services in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney.

Only @UKLabour has a plan to cut your energy bills this winter.

The UK Tory Government is happy to sit there whilst prices soar and the cost of living crisis worsens.

Back our plan to save your family budgets here πŸ‘‡
The Conservatives have failed on energy and working families are footing the bill.

Labour would take fully-funded measures to reduce price rises saving most households around Β£200 or more.

Back Labour's plan to secure your family's income today.

Out this morning in Bryn Carno #Rhymney with @GeraldJonesLAB @Dawn_Bowden updating residents on the positive news of securing just over 1 Million Pounds from the @WelshLabour @WelshGovernment subject to a full business case from @CaerphillyCBC.

We will keep residents updated.

So shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of @UKLabour MP Jack Dromey.

Jack was so dedicated to his work and a truly fantastic colleague.

Sending my love to @HarrietHarman, @Joe_Dromey and family.

πŸ“Ί WATCH: Over 75% of eligible adults in Wales have already had their booster thanks to the fact the @WelshLabour Govt has earned the respect & trust of the people of Wales due to the clear messaging throughout the pandemic.

I called on the UK Govt to follow where we lead.

Schools and colleges across Wales are set to benefit from over Β£100m in new funding from the @WelshLabour Government to help make education settings as Covid-secure as possible as the new term begins.

Wales loses Β£4.6bn of funding because the Tory UK Government says #HS2 is an England & Wales rail projectπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

The Tory Treasury says the Welsh economy will also suffer a Β£150m a year hit from HS2.

'Levelling up' will remain a empty Tory slogan unless the UK Government coughs up

.@AngelaRayner says in Oct @BorisJohnson claimed fears about inflation were β€œunfounded”

PM: β€œI said not such thing”

He did, on camera πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Families are paying the price for the Conservatives' cost-of-living crisis.

But instead of helping families, Boris Johnson’s government is imposing unfair tax hikes.

January is always a tough month for paying the bills. As the weather gets colder please make sure you are getting all the help you can for fuel bills.

& @GeraldJonesLAB are you both aware of this?

The @WelshLabour Govt has led the way in the UK to ensure that the social contract between you & the Govt is based on security, prosperity and respect.

@Keir_Starmer's speech today shows us how we can deliver these values across the UK with a @UKLabour Govt.
Today @Keir_Starmer announced a new contract for Britain based on:

Security, because everyone has the right to feel safe in their own community.

Prosperity, because everyone should have the opportunity to thrive.

Respect, because everyone should be valued. pic.twitter.com/UxJeYb7f8b

People getting very excited by the 'lack' of hospital beds being taken up by Omicron patients. Have they any idea how many NHS staff are currently off sick with this virus? Just remember, no staff = no care provided
Replying to @ChrisBarry2010
Absolutely Chris, this is a huge concern. Staff shortages in the NHS could have dire consequences. In addition lack of staff in public services, food production and distribution could significantly impact on keeping the country running. Sadly the pandemic is far from over.

My mum ,Glenda Hanson , died on Christmas morning, 5 days short of her 88 th birthday . She was loved by my sister Helen , myself and by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and family. Mum was married to Brian for 52 years before his death in 2007 . pic.twitter.com/BYE7mBku21

Best wishes for 2022 to you @GP_CCKelly and all your colleagues in our emergency services who work so hard to keep our communities safe.
Whatever 2022 brings.Tonight I think of those that have their own struggles.I thank the fantastic Emergency Services +NHS for all the hard work and I hope that Health +Happiness becomes the mantra of 2022 as we hopefully show kindness and togetherness in all that we do this year.

As the sun sets on another difficult year for our communities, our country and across the world, thinking of my Dad and all those who were lost this year. Let’s hope that 2022 will see better days for us all. Wishing health and happiness for the new year to all. #HappyNewYear2022

This year, like the one before it, has been tough for all of us.

I believe the best still lies ahead for Britain – a new Britain that works for everyone, in every part of the country not just for those at the top.

On behalf of the Labour Party, I wish you a very Happy New Year.

Treharris Library has been closed for almost 2 years and in need of essential repairs. It’s one of the world famous Carnegie Libraries.

I'm working with local Cllrs @GalsworthyErnie, Ian Thomas, @dgarethrichards, & @Dawn_Bowden, to save and reopen this community resource ASAP.

I have written to the Leader of @MerthyrCBC, regarding concerns about the Carnegie Library in Treeharis.

I have offered my support in securing the future of this important local library, so it can continue to serve the people of Treharris for years to come.
