Prosciutto pork fillet with cheesy gnocchi and pea gratin

Yesterdays dinner was a really tasty dish from @jamieoliver

Some nice pork fillets wrapped up in prosciutto, one with a layer of pesto added for extra flavour and finished with some crispy sage leaves.

Tonight, Ronnie (14) had another crack at Beef Medallions, Horse Radish Mash, & Roast Veg with Red Wine & Port Jus. Followed by Creme Brulee (making his own custard).

Help! Just made the get ahead gravy and it’s really fatty. Can I do anything to save it? I would also like to add some more depth of flavour to it. Last year I did your gravy on the day and I had comments about how good it was so I was just trying to save time 😞

Transfer it to a tall narrow container (like a measuring jug or cylinder tupperware) & store it in the fridge for a day. The excess fat will rise to the top & solidify, meaning that the next day you can simply lift it out, then use your gravy or freeze it for Christmas, Emma

Made this on Saturday …it’s a vanishing bread !!! The family loved it it was gone in minutes …making some more today but hiding it until Boxing Day lol 😆

😂 Love it! Stash today’s bake in the freezer, Ann. 🤫 Make the garlic bread, shape on the tray, prove for 45 minutes then cover and freeze until your ready to share. Bake for 25mins at 220°C

It'd add quite a creamy flavour, Ryan. But the blinis wouldn’t colour quite as nicely in the frying pan, so you might need a little extra oil or some butter to get a nice golden hue.

I may be that person you haven't met that won't like that dessert . Life long dislikes of bananas, but that sauce in a bowl will do ☺️

Swap bananas for tinned fruit, peaches work really nicely, Sara. You could also try a few dollops of marmalade or adding a few more dried fruits along with the dates, like apricots, raisins and sultanas.
