Could the Fairhaven Surf Club be any more cliched in its perfection. What a joint. Perfect for a horde of kids and their parents. As good as any surf club in Australia. And yes that includes the Noosa RSL. Other contenders? pic.twitter.com/FYnywKq7kP
You could have gone the shorts? Would have been close to 40 degrees up there.
Congratulations to Joan Murphy and the connections of Patch Adams - winner of the @SeppeltWines Great Western Cup

Wonderful to see race fans out and about at Great Western Cup day @SeppeltWines @Country_Racing

Too right. What we’d have given for our own Rishabh Pant in the series just gone. Australia’s top order is simply not good enough for us to have turned our nose up at Maxwell the way we have.
Not sure about the headline... but this article is a thorough summary of the hopeless mismanagement of Glenn Maxwell's Test career by the powers that be. We'll never know the internal politics... but what a waste of one of Australia's most talented cricketers. #AUSvIND
Couldn’t happen to a better bloke 😳
This has never happened to me before, but
* Quaddie on
* Knocked out in 3rd leg
* Stopped caring
* Get paid out as winner in said quaddie
* Find out the horse that knocked you out in 3rd leg was the sub and one of your runners was a late scratching

Love that list Martin. Even the 2nd 10 is hard to pick ... D Boon M Waugh N Lyon K Hughes J Langer R Marsh J Gillespie D Jones J Thomson M Johnson M Slater M Hussey I Chappell D Warner
Warne Lillee Ponting Chappell McGrath Waugh Smith Gilchrist Border Hayden
Smith and Hayden drop out for mine. Boon and Thommo in (I’m same vintage - earliest proper cricket memory is summer holiday listening to Windies tour of Australia- must be 1975/76? (Not sure my memories of 74/75 ashes aren't false memories)

Martin we’re the same age. Respectfully say Gilly wouldn’t have been able to make same impact pre Border. Big fan all the same!
Think you might have missed the mighty David Boon on the list comrade?
Recency bias. R Marsh better than Gilchrist pound-for-pound given the difference in styles of the eras.
M. Hussey would be outside that bracket, but not by much.
No spot in the top 10 for Hooksy? Every kid wanted to bat like him in the late 70s, early 80s.
1. SK Warne 2. GS Chappell 3. GD McGrath 4. RT Ponting 5. AK Gilchrist 6. DK Lillee 7. AR Border 8. SPD Smith 9. SR Waugh 10. ML Hayden
Also, Border is too low. I might have Border top of the lot. Not for talent, though he's not far off on that score, but for sheer influence he can't be beat. Without him doing what he did, many of the others mightn't have even had careers, let alone great ones.
Hard to argue with any of those. Cummins getting pretty close to my top 10 from similar vintage. Hayden might have to be bumped
Dirk Wellham?
I’m 52 and have been watching cricket since 1974/75. My top 10 Aussie cricketers since then -:
1. SK Warne
2. AC Gilchrist
3. DK Lillee
4. GS Chappell
5. AR Border
6 RT Ponting
7 GD McGrath
8 ML Hayden
9 SR Waugh
10 SPD Smith
Thoughts @collinsadam? Anyone want to do their own?

As a Vic fan this is disappointing. Both in our best XI and should be selected when available. 2 aus tours in March there will be plenty of opportunities for young Vic bats. putting a line through them as test cricketers when we have no #5 is ridiculous foxsports.com.au/cricket/austra…

Toobs winning is the upset we need after losing the test series to India.
CHIP POLL: ROUND 2!
Any chance Martin your amnesia has recovered from hotel quarantine inquiry 🤔 Your memory seems perfect otherwise 🙄
Hope they send you a confirmation email as we all know you won’t recall who got your vote. #creepingassumptionsareabitch
Pretty simple Marty, just as you are free to have a crack at me I’m supporting the notion of Freedom of Speech ... it’s just that your leader loves to stoke up a divisive debate
Georgie. Would you mind explaining - coherently - what place the #FreedomOfSpeech hashtag has here? Are you suggesting freedom of speech = freedom from criticism?
P.s. I know you won’t be able to because it’s nonsense, and you know it. But have a crack

#Andrews you’re entitled to your views, but your deliberate divisive comments don’t do anything for tolerance & respect. #Hypocrite #FreedomOfSpeech #springst heraldsun.com.au/news/national/…
Which one do I vote for?
I’ve cast my vote in the @allstarmile - let’s all vote to get the best field we can @TheValley on March 13th!
Joseph Robinette Biden Jnr. What a name.
You can give a shit don’t send it around to all the other people that don’t give a shit.
You can #stayclosegofurther when you visit Lake Nagambie, the mighty Goulburn River, @TahbilkWinery and @MitcheltonWines @visitvictoria

Congrats to the Indian cricket team @BCCI That’s one of the best series wins I can ever remember on Aust soil & to do it after being bowled out for 36, plus a depleted squad-shows tremendous character, resilience, courage & belief. Just fantastic @RaviShastriOfc @ajinkyarahane88
Brings to mind a certain game of football at Princes Park (Round 22 if i recall) on the 30th of August in 1997 ...

All out.
That was half an Indian 2nd XI at a ground Australia doesn’t lose test matches.

This is absolutely amazing. Privileged to see it #AUSvIND
If this was Australia chasing down this target on day 5 we would be banging on about how gutsy our batsmen were. We wouldn’t be hanging it on the Indian attack. Might be time to just acknowledge how brave the Indians have been instead of whinging about our bowlers. #INDvsAUSTest
Massive 2 sessions coming up which could either gloss over a poor series from Aussies or expose heaps of cracks. Undermanned Indians have been awesome. Too many Aussies below par, only Marnus, Smith, Cummins, Hazlewood & Green g’teed to hold spots
Professional basketball will return to Victoria for the first time since March last year when United play the Phoenix in Bendigo on January 31. theage.com.au/sport/basketba…

Wonderful to be at @MCG today for the unveiling of Daniher’s Way. A fantastic tribute and deserving honour. @NealeDaniher @FightMND @DanielAndrewsMP @MartinPakulaMP

I disagree. Unfortunately test match cricket needs this in the long run. Agree with that being wrong but Aussies if they had the balls to gain more test points if they won the series. Maybe more points should be awarded to the series winner...!?
Oh please!!!
